Hey man appreciate the video. I have a 84 xl 600 dual carb. If I took the washers out that was under the needle as it’s non adjustable needlewould it run super lean? Can’t keep it running idles high no matter what change adjustment wise.

What about making a new bushing and machining the case? That way you don't have to retemper the steel shaft.

I bought a 1985 XR600 and it was always a pig to start for the first time. I put up with it for years. Then recently it refused to start. Tracked it down to low speed fuel circuit. I watched your video and it was very helpful. A previous owner had swapped the carb bowls over and the secondary float was way off. Now it starts very easily Thanks for your video

Thank you for the great video. I have a question. I have problems with my XL 350 from 1984. My dual carb does not have the bottom cup with the hole that you mentioned. They’re both identical even have the same part number on them. is that wrong? Also, I don’t think this is a 350 carb but looks like a 250 based on parts that I saw for the rebuild kit. Sorry for the complicated question.

Thank you for the video, I have a problem with my xl600 carbs, the main carb does not fill with petrol when I open the tap. The second carb does fill. If I open the drain screw on the first carb no petrol flows through the drain but it does flow through the second carb. Any idea what could it be? The bike doesn't start and I would like to avoid having to take the carbs off the bike. Please help

Do both carbs have a 45 pilot jet? I just took mine apart and the right side carb does not have a pilot jet in it??

The wires coming from my control is 5 wires..yellow,blue,red,black and white..the wires on my new twist throttle is red,black and white..I'll match them up and leave the yellow and blue and see if that would work for me..by the way good explanation tho..

Volume too low! Hooked up exactly as stated in video. DID NOT WORK! Any additional thoughts? Thumb throttle with on/off and LCD display, RED, BLACK, GREEN, YELLOW, BLUE. This throttle has a motorcycle key and battery indicator. on the brush controller there is a white socket written: (Derailleur) in the colors green red and preto. I already know it's the accelerator but what about the two yellow and blue wires???? where can i plug it in?? we have two blue wires in a white socket written lock two blue wires written lock; what are these two wires for?

The three wires are the only ones you need if you want to just wire it up, the other two are for showing battery power and use the key lock, but if you just want a throttle the three little wires are all you need to connect.

Thank you so much , I thought I killed my controller but since I was able to fix it by buying a new throttle and wiring it up with these instructions I get to send back the controller I bought extra . BTW the extra green wire i had is either a ground or a speed signal 🤔

I realized it didn't show much. What info can you gather NONE $1 ALARM SAME. 2 Less wires. Some need it I'm not criticizing just not for me KISS IF U DONT KNOW THE MEANING LOL. ALLthe geniuses. Invent a replacement for hall sensor. Technically. 4 components could be made foolproof
