i would love to see a land rover bmw audi mercedes or any other european offroad suv do what a hummer h1 can do. it can tow more, jump higher, tread more mud and water than any sissy 4wd. just looking at the technology it had when it came out still amazes me. there is absolutely no way your going to beat a hummer in every aspect of offroading at all.

Every one of my friends that was in the military said they broke more than they were driven. My wrangler would have no problem with that hill. The only other thing besides my Jeep would be a GMC Sierra 2500 4x4 diesel 2007. Now that truck would smoke your Audi on the hills, trails, and STREET!
@TinnInches sure on road and maybe on some loose surfaces such as dirt or snow you will have the advantage over a 4x4, but let's see you climb over a rock or a particularly steep grade, as in an 18" wall. I love AWD and Audi too but I know what they can and cannot do. On the road you'll own a 4x4 every day in the snow but off road you will be stuck.
That is two different slopes, different initial speed, and hummer can do more than uphill, why not take an off-road challenge? A meaningless comparison.

H1 are heavy vehicles. In some situations they are worse than lesser capable vehicles. But most of the time O.K.

they are driving up a different hill - the Audi drives up a smaller hill, that is why the camera changes viewing angle
