I have a 2016 Jeep Renegade, Limited, 2 wheel drive that suddenly wouldn't start and acted up in a bunch of odd ways when I tried to start it. Found out my six-year-old Mopar battery was shot. Upon hearing the horrible things that could happen if a battery goes while driving, I though an Optima Yellow Top or a Diehard platinum might give an extra layer of protection. But then I heard a RUclipsr say AGM batteries need a special alternator, charger, or the battery will deteriorate over time because of not staying fully charged, at least not with a vehicle like mine that has a 13.7 float charge. I have a dash cam too and might install a security alarm, both of which consume power. So do you have any suggestions?

the die hard was good many many years ago when interstate made them for sears todays diehard is junk interstate still today is a great battery odessy as well

Amsoil is excellent ATF. However, it's not cheap especially if buying without the membership. I now use Triax 100% synthetic ATF. Its comparable to Amsoil but much cheaper

a higher octane rating does not directly translate to more power, but rather indicates a fuel's resistance to premature ignition or "knock" (pre-detonation) under pressure, meaning it can handle higher compression before igniting without a spark plug firing. you dont know what your talking about. just google it

I never buy anything from auto parts store. I just don't know well enough if the battery they sell are any good or are they just another junk.

You see, if you are going to do a review and people believe in what you say,,,,, I suggest you actually know the product you are talking about. You failed here very badly. It sounds more like you had a bad Diehard Platinum battery, I had one in my 09 Acura TL, it's been in the car for 5 years before I gave the car to my grandson, and the battery still checked out good. That Diehard battery never gave me any hints of trouble.

So you change your oil every 50k miles? Did I understand correctly? Or you do a large service at 50k and change all fluids?

I got 52k mile and i will be changing the fluid for the first time. i’m i late? do you recommend flush or just drain?

Perhaps we need to get them done with hydrographic print. They will last longer and you would not tell the difference I don’t think. They do a high gloss finish as well

Helpful information. I've been running Solo exhaust on my 392 Challenger without one of the J-pipe endcaps for 3 years (the shop likely forgot to install it), and I loved the sound - it was deep and rich. I guess it had a little bit of drone, but it was no issue even on long road trips. Now I got the endcap installed - and low frequencies almost completely disappeared. The exhaust sounds more luxurious but doesn't have the same presence as before. I will try to tune it so it's somewhere in between.

Diehard batteries are no longer made in the USA. They are now made in Mexico with cheaper materials.

Just go to a gas station with a 110 octane pump....we only have 3 gas stations with it in my city....so if you cant find one just order a barrel of VP race fuel....unless youre broke or something.

Never use Scamsoil!

Personally, I'm not mixing the amsoil with my mopar 8/9 and it's too hard to get it all out, so with a typical drain and fill (with a new pan/filter), I think you can pretty much just get six quarts out. Better than nothing... but still a lot in there. So, it would mix with whatever you put in. I'll put mopar in it.
