      Hi Samphe. Thank you ! I did use post stabilisation. Since then I got the G80 and the G9 which have ibis so I don't use post stab anymore as it is time consuming and not perfect. Your camping video was lovely and not too shaking considering that the 25mm lens is not stabilized with the G7. 🙂 If you have any other question feel free to ask.

      Hi Thanks for your comment. It is ok for low light. But I tend to use a f1.8 lens for that.

      @@ArdiNugrohocilacap 1600 Iso is ok usually on the G7 but it depends on the scene. More than that is not really great. Low light is not the strength of m43

      @@tlfilms207 Thanks. It was hand-held using the camera strap with warp stab in post. I have the G9 now and you can do the same without warp stabilisation.

    What settings did you use to get to focus the Lense with the camera? I have the canon 50mm and adaptor for my G7 but am unable to figure out specific settings for it to focus.

    Did you use a gimbal, hand held or glidecam with the footage or was it handheld with warp stabilization? I know the G9's stabalization is amazing.

      Yes. I forced myself to use only continious AF to test its behaviour.

      I couldn't find any customization for it, seems like it's just on or off. Were you able to tweak it at all?

      @@ZachVolker There are no settings to tweak it in video but the different af zones modes are useful. I use the central spot or the face detection mode which works really well for body tracking if you tap the screen to tell the camera which body to follow.

      Thanks. A combination of lens stabilisation, camera strap, practice, warp stabilisation.

      Bruno Felix Do you mean USM lens ? No this lens has no autofocus as it is a vintage FD lens

    thank you for the effort and the sharing. you footage was lovely! nicely sharp and the focus was spot on. though the 12-35 is slightly less than a current lens, you have demonstrated that it is a first rate performer. i did notice your footage was all daylight exteriors. how does the 12-35 perform indoors with natural daylight? i do interviews often relying on natural window light. thanks in advance for any thoughts you care to share. thumbs up.

    Does Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II Camera Lens work with Panasonic G7 ? I am an amateur

      sushan mool Some adapters have an electronic connection which can talk to the lens but it is not cheap. Otherwise you can have a dumb adapter but no autofocus or iris control.

      Rexx Reviews I also have the Panasonic 25mm. The focal length is half of the 50 so you have a larger point of view. The image has more constrast and a more clinical look.
