Community Organizers in Laredo Texas work as VISTA volunteers for voter drives. This video was found in my father's collection of possessions after his death. There was no sound track to go with it. I am most interested in finding anyone who can help me to find it or any of the other actors who were involved in making the film.

I've been informed of two facts regarding this film. The first is that there was no soundtrack for this film. It was used to build support for social causes in the boarder region in Laredo, TX and it was successful on several accounts. There is both armature acting and footage in the film as well as documentary film of public hearing with a well-known former mayor of Laredo. The film was taken to Washington, DC to demonstrate the poverty conditions in Laredo, and it has been reported that this worked to good effect in the form of additional funding for infrastructure as well as policy initiatives. The second fact is that the film may well be incomplete. It was reported that the IBC bank in Laredo had been completed around the time that filming was taking place. The production crew was able to gain access to the not-yet-opened band branch for some staged scenes. These scenes included a mock robbery ending in a shoot out and the demise of the principle actors of the hold up. The moral of the story was that despite the desperate conditions in the area, crime was not a solution. Voting and activism was the only good way to change things for the better. As evidenced by the effects of the film . . . it appears they were right.
For those that may be in this film or know of any that are in it, Francisco Flores was my brother. If you forward to the 10 minute and 56 seconds you will see who he is. He is wearing a jacket with Air Force patches on it and he is also wearing glasses. If you know what year this film was made we would like to know also. I'm guessing around 1967 or 68. Judge Liendo? Do you recall? Thanks
