You’re reading way too much into what we’ve said. We don’t have to convince ourselves that we can win. This rivalry isn’t a game that you can always be so certain on the better team winning. If you disagree then you’re lying to yourself. Not playing anybody is in reference to your defense because the only competent team is Michigan and they arguably have a worse offense than Oklahoma. We would 1000% rather face Arch than an experienced QB in Quinn who is a lock for a first rounder. Hawkins has played a defense of this caliber for a half and did alright, whereas Arch hasn’t played any defense.

This seemed to be the case last year too 🤓 Never said you guys shouldn’t win or didn’t have the talent to win

In the state of Texas as a whole. Class to class Texas beats Oklahoma most years and yet the past decade Oklahoma has been the better team and it hasn’t been close. Every Texas fan brings up the all time record because that’s all they got on Oklahoma. And not once did we say you guys didn’t have a good team this year

Exactly! 141 doesn’t sound like a lot but when your defense is putting you in easy field positions and running game has 220 we really don’t need our typical 400 passing yard games

Couldn’t agree more! Auburn on the right track but still a few years out. LSU is just a big brand, underperformed last year and as you mentioned, worse at QB.

@@FoxxDenSportsPodcast Tenn averaged 19.5 pts on the road last season and a losing record with Heupel on the road. We usually beat Tex who should be worse on D and worse at WRs, RB no matter who came in. And we're better across the board: better kicking game this year (couldn't be worse), better HC w/Alley coaching the LBs and D and giving BV chance to HC. Littrell's O will be better at QB, rb, wr, and ESP. TE! I'll swap Sexton for Guyton as backside OT. Best center in SEC probably, but better than last yr. Nwaiwu is an upgrade over Mettauer, and Hachett probably better than who we had not named Green. Better depth at every position on D and O. Look closely at the other sec teams and tell me you'd rather have their lineup. We don't lose at home. Sorry. Bama best chance there, but not as impressed with their QB and new systems. Look at how many follow legends who do well. Usually fired pretty quickly. We'll lose one or two, but not at home IMO. Auburn doesn't have a winning record at home last bit if I'm not mistaken. They aren't going to beat us. Neither is MU. Much worse D, not as deep as us or as talented as us across the board (Burks = Burden, but after that the nod goes to us at every position, but most importantly, at 2nd/3rd strings who will be playing at that time of year due to injuries).

Is Tennessee more of a recent memory rivalry? Don’t feel like they were very competitive in that matchup for a while

@@FoxxDenSportsPodcast the 3rd saturday of october rivalry has been a classic for at least 50 years possibly longer. however, following the hiring of nick saban the rivalry was dominated mostly by the Tide. The Vols did however get a big win a few years ago in rocky top revamping the rivalry.

Yeah the weekend is stacked typically. Hard to say it’s a rivalry when it’s so one sided for such a long period of time. But then again Bama dominated every rivalry for a while

I believe Nick Saban going to Alabama only intensified the “rivalry” to bigger than it was before. Now that it’s gone, I don’t believe it’s as big anymore and Georgia has taken LSU’s place.

Oklahoma has the 3rd best record in the SEC in the last 14 years and only a losing record to a couple. Doesn’t matter the conference. We all know LR can put up points and that’s it, BV is changing the course of the program for the better and the rest of the country isn’t watching closely enough
