Ugh why can no one fucking read! It's not that fucking hard it's in the god damn manual. But I know knuckledraggers hate words. I'll sum it up for you. Maps will always be in your vehicle. You will lose the auto update stuff like traffic conditions but the navigation stays forever and you can even update it OTA forever. Now go drink some oil.

Unless you have the best cellar signal in the world the HOTSPOT can only do so much. Yes offline maps are good but signals keep dropping out. This is a back door fix that can frustrate a driver plus if you use offline maps you get no traffic alerts or updates so just get a phone holder and turn on voice for maps you will be happier. Just my opinion.

How'd you get the map full screen? Mine only does the 3/4 screen with the clock/radio/nav/ect on the right side.

Thanks for this! Watched at least 20 other videos and none of them were my issue. This was it! I never even looked at that rubber strip, and it's dry rotted to hell. Shame you have to replace the entire cowl but oh well.

I had the dealership order the flares. They put them on today, but without the 540 urethane They said they didn't see it or use it (only the 3M tape). The dealership called me for an update on services and told me about this. I'm furious and going to make them order a new set with the urethane and redo. The service clerk said the guy who called me (service manager) left early and will call me next with about my concerns. It is still at the dealership for a serial data gateway recall and other software issues (2024 high country with only 400 miles).

Exactly I just ordered mine for my 2024 Chevy 1500 Trail Boss. For $65,000 I shouldn't have to add these. I also had to buy blacked out lettering for my Chevrolet on my tail gate to finish the look.

Where’s your old tailgate? I hate my multiflex. Gets dirt hay and rock in every nook and cranny. I have used duct tape to seal it over. Had Silverados for 40 years. This 2024 is the worst of them all.

Installed my rear liners ( GM $185) yesterday 2024 LT Crew Cab. Pain in the butt. The pro is the felt material provides some sound dampening. Should have come on the truck! Factory "mud flaps" look like crap. Replaced them with a delete kit from Amazon $21

Use HERE MAPS you have to download the state or country you want to your phone. It’s offline. You can do state by state or the whole USA it’s up to you. Also any country on the planet. It’s 100% free NO INTERNET NEEDED. Also good for walking.

I DO, however, have a question. How do you program your radio with preset channels? Usually, you would tune the radio to the desired station and then hold down one of the preset "favorite" keys for a couple of seconds, and it would be set. Mine says "favorite unavailable" and won't program. HELP please 🙏

Why would anyone do tether. If you're existing unit has Android Auto or Apple Carplay just use that. They just mirror your phone display to your car screen, it's perfect. But BEWARE, gm is starting to get rid of both Android Auto & Apple Carplay so they can try to charge you money for services that you don't need.

Not sure if I’m too late but I did just see a video that they guy unlocked the truck then he held the top button of the tailgate for 5 seconds or until the rear taillights blinked then that unlocked the top portion.

How do i order that grille cant find it new any help? Please

Awesome! I've been wanting to do this as well. I do ha e one suggestion as to who could help as far as creating a wire harness thats gives you the full function of the tailgate. Google HarnessDr. If you haven't already. He may be able to make one for you/us.

don't you have CarPlay? That's what I use for everything, maps, podcasts, etc. and my phone connects wirelessly and automatically.

Any updates on the top portion of the tailgate? Was looking to do the same upgrade on mine but I just can’t seem to find any for sale, let alone in my “radiant red” color. I’m in L.A., CA I have the ‘23 RST

This has been an option for several generations. What would be even nicer is if they let us put our own sim card in these units.

I just bought a 24,1500 rst with the multi flex tailgate, I honestly hate the way it looks. I want to do the opposite and swap to the regular tailgate with the stamped chevrolet lol. Idk what it is, either the big ass bulge or the fact that it doesnt follow the lines of the truck... but i think its ugly as fuck.
