The must have Originals.
It looks like the reason this broke is that someone forced the steering wheel. Also why the steering wheel is out of alignment. I would have to align the steering wheel or it would drive me mad 😂
@4:23 - The car stopped because you ran out of gas. I had the Corvette one, similar to this, and it would stop when the gas gauge got to empty. There was a "Refuel" button to the left of the steering wheel.
It is total rubbish, my one can't hold a station in AM. Also only stays on for 40sec then turns off. My plan is to buy a Brands I can trust.
I'm a FAN of these clock ⏰️ radios. Thank 😊 You for making the video of Them!! I see that the one is a rolling clock instead of a flip clock, but I'm familiar 🤔 with both. A little De-Oxit should clear up those potentiometers. These clocks are nearing 50 years old. Again, thanks for the video. Your friend, Jeff!!
Just got one. The reception is exceptionally good. Until connecting to stereo speakers, and it makes loud ungrounded noises. Changed the cable but still happening. So even though it's 3.5mm headphone port, it is mono sound not a stereo! Kmart should have advised as 3.5mm port is usually stereo, but they prefer not to.
You could probably improve it and put and put a led bulb in it. I couldn't go back to one that pulled that goes through batteries that fast.
Yes, I won't use it as an everyday torch. I do like the old bulbs to be honest, might as well keep it authentic :)
These magnetic flashlights/torches are still useful today. I still keep one Rayovac over my refrigerator. A good tip: wrap the batteries with PVC film, leaving the terminals exposed as minimum as possible. The PVC film protects the flashlight/torch circuit (not 100%) against battery leaking.
My Eveready lantern you want buy super old
I had this.
Old school fantasy book covers were so sick. Nowadays, it feels like publishers are ashamed of publishing genre fiction and most covers seem like they're trying to convince us it's all high brow lit fic 😅
Firstly you mentioned it doesn't do anything when you hit the car / trees - it does - it flashes AND it's supposed to click loudly but yours isn't doing that.. But secondly, I played with this as a kid for hours and hours imagining I was driving a real car - it was incredible. It's 100 times better than any similar current toy on the market I've seen 😂 Also - the 'reset button' is needed to start when you run out of fuel. One push for the counter, 2 presses for the fuel (from memory) or maybe vice versa.
Thanks! I might have to look into the noise when hitting the trees. It is quite a mesmerizing toy!
@@marketfinds The funny thing is that since I saw this video, I noticed there are several versions of this toy that are extremely similar but with slight differences... I wonder if some of them didn't have some of the features - it's possible. Check it out though.
the effects make me feel like i'm on a second hand acid trip
I haven’t figured out how to set the time
Put the radio in Standby. Press and hold the TIME button, ‘24H’ will flash. Turn the TUNING control to change between 24 hour and 12 hour modes. When the mode you want is displayed, press the TIME button. The current time will be displayed, the hour will flash, turn the TUNING control to set the hour. When the hour is set correctly, press the TIME button, the minutes digits will flash. Turn the TUNING control to set the time minutes, when the minutes are set correctly, press the TIME button and the time setting will be saved.
I played these, when shoot magazine was awesome too! Missed it much. Thank you for the memories! From singapore
No problem! We actually play it regularly still.
I remember having this exact one as a kid good memories it was my fav toy almost 30 years ago
It is a nice looking toy! I never had one when I was a kid but anything with lights on it I loved :)
Had a chance to pick up a clock radio of the grundig
Quite a nice little radio for the price .. Little bit difficult to tune but yes..
Yes, I've noticed that too.
Wow reminds me of ehen i was a kid we all had pocket radios
indeed!
Wow - someone actually posted a video about this game !! thanks for uploading this and bringing back some happy memories for me of spending hours as a child playing it. By the way, it looks like you are missing 2 players in black kits, mistaken by many as a referee and linesman, these were the meant to be the goalkeepers, perhaps this Holdson's version did not have the black kit goalkeepers. Although it may not look like much, this game was up against some very stiff competition at the time from the likes of Subbuteo, Striker, and Big League. With Subbuteo of course there was a huge amount of accessories, i.e. different teams plus virtually everything you could imagine including TV commentators in their commentary box. However as much as I loved all the accessories with Subbuteo I could never get on with the "flick" action needed to actually play the game and therefore I always ended up going back to my Waddingtons table soccer. With Striker you had to tap their head so that they kicked the ball, and with Big League you had to pull back their leg in order to kick the ball. Even though this game uses a tiddlywink as a ball you can still get some amazing goals with it ! Anyway many thanks for uploading this and bringing back those happy memories. A few years ago I bought some extra sets from Ebay, and got into painting the players to make up a few different teams. By the way another method of fixing those broken players my mother came up with all those years ago was to heat the broken player on a gas cooker flame and join it back onto the base, it made that players a bit shorter but really did fix it back permanently, believe it or not I still have a few players from my original set from 1969....
Muito lindo bons rádios parabens😊🎉 moro no sul do Brasil❤
I used to have a tape recorder identical to that (it originally belonged to my father), but it was branded Stellaphone, not Philips. The only difference I could see was that your one had a gauge (in centimetres?) between the two reels - my one didn't have that. But otherwise, it really was identical.
Weak build quality, specially the leads that are very thin and doubt they will last long with use. Certainly won't trust those with high voltage or current. Works ok, good as a backup or for non demanding jobs. Only plus are all the ranges and functions. Mine cost €7.50 at 50% clearance, that's around AUD$12.50.
Yeah, ok. It's also pretty big!
Amperi ???
You got a cassette recorder fix it with new belts or trash do not buy
If I get time I'd like to fix. Maybe in 10 years lol
$1.65 is cheap!
I would buy it for that!
If you've "never looked at it at all" then how did you have it in your shed?
Don't take it too literally :) Figure of speech? 'Never looked at it' => 'never done anything with it'
@@HelloKittyFanMan yeah, well, its not perfect. Its a fair bit of work and pretty unrewarding but I tried.

I don't know! I 1978 it was $40 AUD. www.radiomuseum.org/r/philips_n2270.html Not into the value so much, I like to think I've captured a bit of history.

Thanks, I like to think I've documented a piece of history.

I would love it if you could review the ‘Up There Cazaly’ Afl board game next video. Great video by the way. Very interesting to see how games have developed over the years. 😊
Ha, will check it out. Don't think I've ever opened it! Hopefully all or at least most of it is there.
Great fun video which put a smile on my face 😊 WTS was my very first table football game I had around 1969/70 before I graduated to Subutteo and Super Striker. Thanks for sharing 👌
Youre gonna blow up!
Those radios 📻 remind me of my past. Although I haven’t seen these exact designs, they’re a well made radio 📻. They must be of a 1970’s design, because the speakers 🔊 are permanent magnet 🧲. I’m not so much a digital radio 📻 fan, but there’s designs of them I like 👍, too. I just subbed to your RUclips channel!! Your friend, Jeff!!
Thank you, I'm glad you liked them! Got lots of random things to go through, hopefully there's something else in there that's interesting for you. Wish I had more time!
Interesting. I never knew Sony made walkie-talkies. I'm curious how good the range on them were when they were new.
I am guessing they were only released in Japan.
Estão a venda os rádios
❤❤❤❤❤
it's cool , I love it
Reminds me of my childhood. Of course these days here in the UK radio had gone digital so all these old radios don't get a signal anymore but I did manage to get hold of a digital radio but in exactly the same form factor as one of these old radios.
Interesting, in Australia we still have plenty of analogue stations!
@@marketfinds UK still has plenty of analogue aswell. even BBC 4 on longwave and BBC 5 blasting all over europe on medium wave. in fact 1/3 of the medium wave station receivable on continental europe seem to be from the UK
Nice radio. Like the intro lol.
Intro was mocked up by my 10 year old and kept most of it as its quite funny.
Cool vintage unit, but that Sony mono radio-cassette is a model *CF 450* (Sony never used GF as a model prefix on any of their audio products back then). _GF 450_ is a Sharp 4-band radio double cassette stereo boombox from 1980. Still a good deal though regardless of model. 😎😇
Oh yes, you are quite right! I'll be more careful with future model numbers! I really like this radio! Has a great sound for an old unit. Just about to put together a video for the TC 120 tape deck. I'll make sure I don't put TG 120 😃
@@marketfinds I like vintage radios too (stereo and mono models) - you have presented a neat show 'n tell video on it. 2 thumbs up. 👍👍😎
