Wow Martin, that's great riding and steady 1.44's, I'm impressed!! Just from watching your video it sounds and seems to me like you don't have to shift up to 4th and back down to 3rd on the short straight between turn 6 and 7, coming out of that opening right hander heading for the next right hander, try and stay in 3rd, just revving it out, you'd get a bit more engine braking from the higher RPMs braking into turn 7 and eliminate 2 gear changes, one up and down. I might be wrong, but you could try it in a practice session and see if it works or is any better... Are you as fast on Bira on your R1??

This is Martin, right? Nice lap 5, remember it and improve where you can, and you'll easily get below 1.50. You over-rev'ed your start, between 8 & 10.000 rpm works for me and then release the clutch earlier and let the engine pick it up from there and change to 2nd almost immediately, especially on a 14/47 gearing but on Chang needs 15 on the front. Try 3rd gear in T3 next time but pull all to the left during your braking and steer-in, keep a higher corner speed, late apex and gas early, not scary in 3rd gear ;-) See you at the Yamaha Rider's Club Trackdays 11th & 12th, only R6's in our group, wish we could have a 5 lap race on Sunday afternoon, would be top of the pops 🙂Jazz/Jesper
