great month overall! there are a lot of underrated tracks here Twisted Reality: 82/100 this is one of the Unknown Brain tracks that i always forget. idk why but i just stop paying attention to what's happening in the track whenever i listen to it. i'll give it that score because of the sense that the leads are catchy. Lost: 93/100 i like this a lot. the percussion in the drops are strong and the leads aren't very overemphasized. Lost Sky's other tracks emphasize more on melodic leads to the part where they kinda get stale after a few listens. overall this is just a good song, and it's one that i definitely like replaying a lot. Purge: 96/100 this is by far the most underrated ncs track of this month. why does no one even talk about this song? anyways, i like every little thing in the drops. the bass driven leads sets the bar high and they aren't very multi-directional where they just go all over the place in one time. not to mention that it is very catchy all throughout. it fits in with the ominous-ish and aggressive type of approach, and it is pulled off nicely. the samples used here are also good and they make this quite enjoyable to listen to. Happy: 85/100 i like how Rob's usual style is mixed well with classic sounding dnb. it doesn't seem to have any groundbreaking stuff going on, but i like it for that. however, it's kinda linear though but it doesn't significantly ruin the song. Watch The World Burn: 89/100 this track is such an amazing banger, even if it sometimes gets all over the place. it's a pretty good drumstep tune that hits hard in many ways. Incomplete (Muzzy Remix): 87/100 honestly i prefer this over the T-Mass remix and the original by a long shot. the more energetic approach fits well, and since it is a MUZZ track, it has decently good mixing and matches well with the vocals (take for example his song Somewhere Else). pretty enjoyable track, although i prefer his other stuff (such as Spectrum and Star Glide) over this one. We're Invincible: 84/100 the unorthodox production here works very well, and the offbeat drum patterns complement with what the track is going for. i kinda agree with your statement where it is an emotional song. it definitely has some emotional aspects with the vocals, from the lyrics to the melodic performance. i wouldn't say that this song is impeccable, there are some things, like the leads where they don't have a great melody, and other stuff like how i sometimes think that the vocals don't entirely fit the vibe of the song. great tune overall and it's one that might grow on me more. Call Me Again: 83/100 obviously, this song is reminiscent of their previous song So Happy, but honestly i don't really care about the fact that it's a copy of that song. it has a very similar structure to So Happy although it has a different key. i like it for that although the leads can sometimes get pretty overwhelming, which is why it is not that high up. Echoes (Meikal Remix): 92/100 i like the higher tempo of the track although i can't say i like the vocal chops here since it doesn't fit the vibe of the song, i prefer the slower tempo in the original since the pace fits well with the overall flow. that being said, i'll put this higher just because the part where the remix plays the vocal chops has some sort of atmosphere built around it. the drops of this song sound dark, yet they are so catcht and has that bounciness to it. this is yet another song that no one talks about. overall this song is just great and pretty enjoyable, sadly i haven't played this as much as before (like 2 years ago) since i mostly use Spotify for listening to songs, and i usually listen to songs whenever i go traveling. We Are: 80/100 yeah idk what to say here lol. i've barely touched this song ever and i don't think that i wanna listen to this in a regular basis. About To Go Down: 97/100 as i've said before, this is one of the most underappreciated bass house tracks on ncs. the dark vibe that this goes for is just so good and it has good mixing even if the leads are kinda abrasive sometimes.
