When I saw that feature first time, I thought that's really where I don't want to go down. Then I gave it a try anyway but somehow came out without a scratch 😎 But you would have done it, no doubt. There are much severe rolls on KS.

@@LackOfJudgement Yeah, after convincing myself to ride the rock features on the Churchner trail, that rock should've been easily doable. But, it is what it is 🤗

Had some footage from few weeks ago but the riding was bad even by my standards, so I didn't put it on YT. Now I'm just part of the crowd, oh well 🙃

Was crashing a lot actually. Especially in '23 I just became careless and went into everything head first, no brakes. I just hope I learned some lesson, this years crashes weren't too dangerous, mostly. Ye, we had some good laughs together with my wife while I was making this video, my favorite's the one at 2:55 (Foxy trail, at the very last section). Thanks! @@LackOfJudgement ohh now I realise that is Foxy trail. I slipped at the exact same place this Jan/Feb (minus the tumbling down half the hill), and I also have it in my Jay Rides Fails Best of 2024 video! 😁 Yeah kinda similar to me - of course I had several crashes this year and I was lucky at least once (for example, where I got the air knocked out of my lungs in Finale), but overall the number (and probably severity) of crashes in 2023 was quite a bit worse. Especially so many OTB in 2023 for some reason... Yeah would be cool to ride together! Maybe more towards Feb, we'll see 😅

@@LackOfJudgement P.S. honestly the crash in Jan (?) 2024 where you rode with us in Pfälzerwald was probably pretty lucky (just like my double-lucky-save that same day)... at least I remember feeling really glad when you told me afterwards everything was fine!

Ye, this was a "type 2 fun" ride, have to admit. Actually it doesn't look that bad on the video, but I clearly remember how intimidating was riding that trail in such conditions. Still, I'm glad I went for it and didn't sit out the day at the hotel. (btw. this was just the first descent, got like another hour of footage from that day 😃)

Exactly my kind of trails, as well, and I call myself lucky to live not too far from this location.

The whole video comes from a single ride, but it was a big one:) Almost each trail from a different hill. I think I'll never jump that gap, the landing just feels like a bad place. Maybe if I'd see some one else doing it.

Yes, that first muddy part (sprinkled with some donkey crap) made me question whether that was still mountainbiking, or wtf was going on 😅 But once we started going downhill, all doubts vanished. Would totally bang again.

It's a beautiful area, definitely worth a trip.

IMO trying to compare it to other areas seems a bit unfair, they got their own unique thing going. "Lesser known", I'd say that place started to make a name for itself, especially in recent couple of years. Let's see which way it's going to grow.

Alright, we can work something out next year. Not sure if I'll make it all the way to Bielsko again any time soon, but I absolutely intend to ride more in CZ and PL next year. In my opinion (and probably not too many people will agree with it 😅), much better bike trips can be done in those countries than in overpriced Alps.

@@LackOfJudgement Sounds cool man 👍 Btw I can see what you mean. I think it depends on what you want to do though. For example, you cant do high alpine rides in CZ or PL afaik... Or 2000m continuous descents (execept Maske in the Carpathians I suppose?). But yeah, from your videos, if you want to ride BC style trails without going to BC, it seems to be THE SHIT 🤩👍

@@JayRidesTrails Then luckily I'm not too interested in high alpine MTB, and definitely not in some crazy 10 long descends:) Bielsko actually isn't that "BC", not many rock slabs there, it's mostly jagged limestone. But trails are still good fun, more about keeping flow.

It was pretty exhausting to ride it down due to constant hits my hands kept absorbing and I couldn't manage to do a proper full run because of that. That's why too rough - it was just too much for me. 😅 Also it basically consists of rocks. Big, small, rock drops, loose rocks. Pretty nasty on a bike, too (there's even one destroyed bike in the video for a short moment:)

Rychleby and Trutnov are two of my favorite trail centers. Honestly cannot think of better trails anywhere in Europe.

One of the best trails I've ever ridden. It's even worth to climb back and ride some of those "chicken" lines.

Yes, really good trails, but definitely not the best from that trail center. There are some peaces that are just exquisite. I see what you mean, but it for sure wasn't so rough and janky as HD 😅

Thanks, I guess the DH bike makes it lot more easier:) Definitely a good kauf, turns out. I did one run in to it, but the height and the exposure got my knees shaking. But it sure felt smaller/more doable compared to last time, so never say never I guess.

I don't know, I guess it's individual: some one wants the feel of adventure, or a challenge, then you got adrenaline junkies, maybe somebody tries to prove something to themselves, or simply like to hurt themselves 🤓. Just out of curiosity: what exactly happened at 10:24 that made you quit the video?

I think it used to be marked as single black, before somebody changed it to pro line. I guess because it's usually a part of EDR course. There are some difficult and scary corners, but I wouldn't call it pro line. Either way, it was one of the most beautiful trails I've ever ridden, covered in a thick layer of loam all the way down. Too bad it's so hard to get there, but then again, it wouldn't be so pristine, if it isn't .

@@LackOfJudgement it looked cool, and actually reminded me very much of some of the loamy trails we rode in BC! (I had never ridden loamy trails like that before - and after) ... so I guess it is a good thing that it is so hard to get to, and it might be a reason why you're not allowed to just take the lift. anyway, your Südtirol / Trentino antics look pretty cool!

Actually, they smoothened up the entry a little bit. Used to be that one had to drop those rocks right into that turn:) It is pretty difficult, but gets more fun, once you figure out those features one by one. And once you make it through the first 50 meters:)

Yep, mine indeed, got it since December. Epic it is, just make sure you keep your eyes glued to the trail, else you'll find yourself rolling down the slope 😅 Those ruts look probably worse than they were, not too bad really, especially if you're used to ride Bikeländ 🙃

Sorry, don't want to give away locations of trails, which aren't marked on Trailforks here on YT. But try and ask guys from HD FR e.V. or on Biketreff organized by them, they'll point you on the right direction, for sure. Small hint though: it's nowhere close Leitplanke;)

Ah dude, sorry to hear! We catched some rainy weather back in October, as well. For a couple of days, trails were pretty wet, but still great fun, surprisingly good grip, too. This ride was done after a day of the whole area being shutdown, obviously due to heavy stroms. Wasn't even sure, if this shuttle day will take place up until the meet-up and local guys were still repairing the trails as we rode them:)
