We had a severe snowstorm for 3 days and I wasn't able to start or drive the car. Tried charging it for 4 hours, then using the booster to start the vehicle, but that did not help either. Even used the de flooding procedure without any success. I'm at a loss and not quite sure what to do as this is out of nowhere. the vehicle only has 106,000 miles on it and it has been taken care of. Same issue, died half way to work, 30 mile trip, towed it home the day and put 2000 K2500 5.7 155k, a new lifetime cap and rotor. $85ish . Luckily that was the problem this time.
It is air within the pressurized water that is causing the milky white appearance. Similar somewhat to cloud formations due to pressure changes in the sky. In this case, however, it is air within the water that is pressurized in your pipes, that then bursts out when you release it from the tap. This creates a murky white appearance (like a water cloud, but in this case an air cloud inside water), that then dissipates as the air escapes over time. There is nothing dangerous about it. If you don't like the look of the water you can try removing and scraping the aerator to clean any debris that might be on it. You could also try replacing the aerator. The aerator is the small cylindrical nozzle at the end of your faucet where the water is pouring out from. You can twist that and unscrew it out to clean it or replace it.

If it disappeared, it's just air bubble. White water happens when water and air mixed. Let it sit for about 2-3 minutes and it will become clear.

I replied to another person below. I kept it on the battery charger and did the Deflood Method over and over at least 2 dozen times. It eventually started. I spent at least an hour doing the Deflood Method over and over, keeping it on charge. Just give it a rest every 4-5 tries so you don't burn up your starter

Sorry for missing your comment in time! I did the Deflood Method on these over and over and over again. I would jump my battery if it started getting weak, then kept doing it. The car eventually started!

You probably have a bad anode rod in your hot water tank
Same thing happened after install of new hot water heater
@@louisebelcher1497 me to, twice now. If nobody has used hot water for a while, it's 99% clear. But if it's been used within the last 10 min's it's 99% cloudy. Its something to do with the heat cycle, I'm thinking.....
I was driving back from the metroplex yesterday do the Waco area and as I'm going down the road my truck dies. The pump is working but I'm not getting any spark at all. I replaced the coil the ECM and the crank shaft position sensor. Also put a new cap rotor wires and plugs in it about a month ago. When you replace the distributor did they say anything about the little sensor that is there under the rotor? If I understand right you replace the entire distributors?
We replace the entire distributor; cap, wires and, sensor. the only thing wrong with the distributor but since we had already purchased the sensor and cap and wires we went ahead and put them on.
The crank sensor is in the dist. Problem is, most people drop it in wrong and the timing ends up off....
This from sediment in the hot water tank. You need to drain the tank to flush it out.
My hot water is the same but when I moved in it wasn't like that it was clear but now it also has a smell like there's detergent present , the cold water doesnt run as cold as it should and smells like diesel exhaust, anyone know why?

We got stranded 130 miles from home returning from a camping trip, when trying to start it it backfires through throttle body, and when cranking has trouble turning over. this will be the first thing I check

Mike, did you do a general test to see if you had spark before changing your distributor by any chance? I pulled one plug wire on my 97 chevy 5.7 and spark was evident. Sprayed fuel inside my intake also. I can't get it to fire. I am suspicious of weak spark or timing,
Yea, I did. I checked them and replaced them (they were past due), but it didn't change anything. I bought and replaced all the wires too. Notta. The distributor's hold down bolt came loose just enough to where it jumped off time a little bit. We didn't notice it, which led to it burning up.
I'm reading its air bubbles??? But mine was clear before too. Hmph.

+CrazyWheeler1996 We fixed it! Our distributor was on warranty, so we took it back to O'Reilly and got a new whole Distributor assembly. Put it in and the truck fired right up and ran!
Mike Burdine did u have any kinda spark to the spark plugs before u changed out the distributor????? Mine is doing the same but i have fuel and spark
@@stocktonst3 I am having the same problem! Fuel pressure is great and spark is great, but no fuel to beyond the fuel rail.
@@stocktonst3 If I recall we did not have spark. We replaced the plugs, wires, and cap first because we didn't have spark. after changing all that and realizing we still wasn't getting spark the last step was to replace the distributor itself and that ended up being the key
First check spark going to spark plugs if no spark is present then check spark at ignition coil if spark is presnt check the rotor cap and button if coil has spark means the distubutor isnt sending spark to plugs if no spark at coil check for pulsing on primart sides of coil if flashing with test light is seen replace coil if you test it and coil is good then check ignition control module or pickup coil in distubutor if not present after check to see if security light is on all the time or flashing to maks sure its not a security issue. Also for those having fuel on these model trucks for thd injectors to fire you need a minimun of 55psi fuel pressure for the injectors to fire
I have this issue too and what's strange about it is, the water was cut off for 12 days then after that it was white, when before it was clear
