Gotta love the fight on a summer run!
Can’t wait to catch other species congrats man🔥🔥I got some awesome trout🎣 today please check it out.
On the whole river? How would you possible know that???? What a stupid title. Unsubscribed
I prefer fly fishing for pretty much everything but its cool to see a spinner pull in a chunky boi
It looks like a bear could pop out ANY MINUTE there!! Nice but nope! I’ll stay in Oklahoma thanks! 😂
Looks very similar to some of my regular spots here in northeast Washington. Great video. Made me wish I didn't have a lot of stuff to do today. Lol
@@redeyestones3738 I’ve never fished northeast WA but I’ve been on some south west rivers up there. Always fun when I get out that way.
Killer summer season. I stacked them up as well. Landed over 50 fish so fun.
Yo man any chance this December wanna float the river for steelhead? Got a drift boat we can take

@@OregonFishingAdventures i appreciate it💙
@@Canons_Catch hey no problem man I've seen you posting consistently seems like you have been working on improving your content as well glad to have another local around
do you think I could land a steelhead on a 2500 size reel?! Awesome fish btw
Kastking zepher reels in 1000 size can handle that
@@CJ-ld1kjAlr bet thx
Yeah 2500 size is perfect. I have a few videos on me catching them on my ultralight setup as well. Only have a 1000 size reel on that.
What are your go to scents on the jigs? You make good videos 👍
@@fdl362 I appreciate it! I’ll be on new rivers on the upcoming videos as well! With scent on jigs I RARELY use it. If applied to the jig it will cause the material on the jig to not flow and just get stuck together. You can use water soluble scent but I never do. If I am running scent I will put it on my leader just a small amount. Tip the jig with some shrimp if you want scent, that’s what they want🤘🏽
@@Canons_Catch this year I’m going to try to tip the jigs with salad shrimp 🍤 I mostly fish around the Tillamook area, but will hit up the Portland area rivers aswell. Keep up the great content..

That second guy inhaled it. Nice fish. What kind of float are you using?
@@BC-ue3ku Addicted fixed float or a aero float af-7 fixed float. Usually use the addicted float because it shows up better on video
Some nice fish. I wish I could have seen more of the fight/ jumps. Camera angle a bit too low. Tight lines

@@fishingthenw1642 few and far between there’s a couple rivers a little north on the coast that have some more fish. These fish are hard to get sometimes can’t wait for winter here in Oregon see if I can get an 20lb winter.
What river is it?
@@josiahgrant4139lol
@@josiahgrant4139 Coastal river in Oregon, can’t make it that easy for everyone. Thanks for watching!
why was bro casting on your fish lmao
@@Seanbootth I have no clue 😂
If you want to catch and release you do not have to bring a fish on the bank. You can tail it in the river. You also don't need a net like you say everyone says. I have never carried a net on the bank and have very rarely needed it. Also reviving the fish requires water to go through the gills. If you point them upstream, into the current they can make a better recovery. Please don't do what you are doing now in the winter with natives. I like the catch and release, I do it with hatchery summers too. But I still want them to live so we have fish on another year! Tight lines!
@@carlpurdy8479 I can’t please everyone but I try my best.🤘🏽

@Canons_Catch I ended up slipping and falling and losing line pressure. I guess it's time to dig out my hip waders or buy some chest waders too. Damn wet grass
Dude Cannon! You’re killing these summers, any chance you could tip me in the direction of this awesome river?
@@tyler_wright appreciate it! My advice is to look up whatever river is close to you or that you want to fish. Then look at the hatchery report for that river. It will tell how how many fish came back that week and what kind of fish. When you get to the river fish everything you never know where they will be at. Right now there a bunch of salmon in the rivers, try to fish away from the salmon and you’ll find the steelhead. Beads work really good since they are eating the salmon eggs 🤘🏽
@@Canons_Catch thanks Canon!
@@tyler_wright Anytime 🤘🏽
more confident with or without the shrimp tip ?
@@johnfak4034 To me it doesn’t matter I feel like if you get it in front of their face they will hit about anything. The extra scent can help when the bite is slower tho I have noticed
@@Canons_Catch cool curious. we cant use bait where I fish. I've only got 1 winter season under me. Mostly fly and beads.
@@johnfak4034 beads always get the job done. I can’t wait till winter time when the big ones come in
@@Canons_Catch yeah Im getting amped up. Ready to hit salmon for the first time also. But steelhead on a river winter by yourself is awesome.
What state
@@darrelljohnson4658 Oregon
Wish we still had hatchery steelhead here in Washington state.....
@@operationmoyda Haven’t fished in Washington yet this year but winter time I usually can find a few.
I usually find more people than fish these days
@@briangrendahl4635 I use google maps and find random spots and hike to them to get away from crowds
Those poor fish look like they need more food
@@NickErickson-g9w The way I edit the videos to get more fov makes fish look a lot skinnier then they really are. I forgot to separate when I land the fish and hold it up to not use as much lens correction. Thanks for watching!
Pretty impressive back log you have here my friend. Salmon are running very strong here right now. I just lost a 35+ LBer(it broke my swivel). I can tell you aren’t fishing here currently. But I will see you eventually count on that t good luck fishing👍
@@chandlerwelch9020 There’s a bunch of salmon in that area right now but can’t target them nor would you want to they are all beat up. I did pick a few steelhead out of the crowd tho coming in the next video! I usually catch summers all the way till December before they head back to the ocean. I appreciate the kind words and thanks for watching 🤘🏽
@@Canons_Catch yessir have a good one! Impressive you can sift through all the corpses swimming around. And it’s just for sport. All fun
Big size fish in shallow river,, this is really amazing
@@danangobek I always tell myself fish aren’t very tall so they can be anywhere in the river. Thanks for watching!🤘🏽
If fools knew how to read water and to tip their shit with shrimp or eggs they’d catch a lot more summers. And the spinner is a cheat code half my summer fish are on metal.
@@rickysimmonds2681 Exactly! The biggest part is reading the water, if you’re not fishing where fish will be they will never catch any. Spinners are always fun I love to throw them for summers I don’t do well on winters with them but spoons will get it done! Appreciate you watching!🤘🏽
@@Canons_CatchI always bring a spinner rod for winters they really like hardware. Fish a spot with bobber for a bit, get a few fish then throw that spinner I bet it gets hit. It’s not always but spinners have got me a lot of extra fish since nobody is throwing them and the way they slam it (usually big bucks) is crazy fun. If that doesn’t work I go to drifting a little 8 or 10mm bead tipped with shrimp almost always works.
@@rickysimmonds2681 Couldn’t have said it better!🤘🏽
@@Canons_Catchlast year my buddies stopped bringing spinner rods and I reaped the rewards lol. Now they know better after watching me rope them on blades after bead bite dies.
@@rickysimmonds2681 😂 I always bring 2-3 rods so I can switch. I bet they wish they brought more rods 😂
What To Do If U Can’t Catch Anything Plz Help?!!!🤍😢😅😂😂😂

@@dmcfarland9760 I love using spawn bags. In the PNW it’s not very common to use them but it get the job done most the time! I’d love to fish Mi someday
I tie some bomb assed jigs. I usually cast 1/16 oz or 1/8 in the swift stuff. Caught hundreds of these things. 14 in 1 day is my best, with a bank full of pissed off witnesses
Fishing spot?
@@Viper17182 Sorry can’t make it that easy for everyone and don’t want to crowd the spot. My advice is to look up hatchery reports on whatever river you want to fish. That will tell you what fish are coming back and how many. Then use google maps to find your own spot on the river that looks good, you never know might find yourself a secret spot where nobody’s at. Pick a few spots on google maps and drive to each to check them out and fish. This is how I find all my spots and when fishing new places. I rarely go off what other people are saying about a river I like to go find spots myself and find out for myself. Hopefully this helps you get on some fish !!
Well done, awesome seeing you explain your process of where you think fish could be resting/feeding.
@@christopherbasandella7150 Thank you! I’ve been trying to work on that more. The full video is on my channel and I explain a little bit more! Thanks for watching 🤘🏽
You need a net lol
@@drunkpika85 What net should I get !?
Would someone mind helping me with the name of this river?
@@tyler_wright So it can be very crowded? There’s a reason I don’t put any river names in Oregon it’s already to crowded. My advice is to look at hatchery reports on a river that you want to fish then you can see all the info you need on there. What type of fish are running and how many. I understand you want to know the river that I’m on but that doesn’t always guarantee that you or anyone will catch fish. I’ve found all my spots using google maps get out and explore and you never know you might find a spot that’s good for you that nobody has been to🤘🏽
