Ep 91. Bricking the Fireplace
Finally, we are finishing the fireplace. It should’ve been done long before the stove was installed, but we are tackling it anyway. This thin brick application is an easy DIY for anyone willing to put forth a little sweat equity.

Ha I made the same error and had to rebuild the Arcadia after swapping sides. Thanks for the details!
Are we doing this again? You young people weren’t alive in the 70s were you?
Yes we are! Retro vibes
Paneling 😊
One of the coolest I've seen! SWEET DESIGN!
Glad you like it. We ran out of space and had to get creative! Thanks for watching.
Hey man, thanks for posting. Really helpful!! So, it’s been 5 months since your post….how do you like the Arcadia functional trainer? Any pros/cons? Thanks.
@@ericgriffith4786 glad you liked it! I love it! I have one small issue where a bearing in the pulley went bad (making a click noise). REP just wanted a video and they are sending me out some replacement pulleys. I can’t ask for better than that! I highly recommend it to anyone!
Mr. Rus drop=Great day 🔥
I love the new - or newly marked - parking spaces. You missed marking one of the spots, though. 🤣🤣😛
Yes, I did!
Thank you for this video. My friend we’ve just spent a few hours together as I built my Rep Arcadia and your video was so helpful. Thank you.
Awesome to hear! Glad it helped!
I am getting the max version this weekend. Going it goes on sale for Labor Day. Thanksfor the video
@@RobertBeedle glad it helped! You’ll love it!
how tall are you?
5’7”. 5’8” if it’s humid outside! 😁
Полигональная кладка.
looks pretty professional to me, Russ. Is there anything you can't do? Sara
Nice.... . Very expensive for a garbage pad..... Your house must be amazing👍👍
@@robertapreston4200 I’m glad you liked it. It wasn’t too expensive. I think I had only about $60 in mortar and it’s about $100 in stone. I plan on adding an enclosed top, sides and doors to truly hide it. I’ll most likely scavenge thru left over materials from the house build to complete that project. As far as the house, I hope you check out the channel. It is definitely a different house but I’m not sure it is amazing, it’s kind of weird! 😆
Их дом хижина, потому что безработные, именно безработные способны на такую дичь, от безделья😂
Посмотрите, как строится наша хижина! @AcupulaAcres
@AcupulaAcres did you add any portland or acrylic to the mortar? Type N alone isnt very strong. But it depends on where you live. I like you used color dye. 👍
@@MAX_BRENDO Good question. We used type S on this project specifically because it has twice the portal of type N
I've built about 30 of these cabinets between my shop, my work and my wife's work, huge fan of them for the money. Regarding the back panels, they're supposed to function as an anti-racking part of the structure so they should be turned around, especially if you ever plan to load them up with anything heavy.
I’m late to the party, but man I like the staircase!!! Looks great guys!!!
It was a mind bender but, Thank you! It was a fun project. It gets used a lot and the square design gives you a lot of extra foot space so it doesn’t feel like a cramped spiral.
Yo thats my dad
Thanks for this! I saved a bunch of money putting it together by myself. I watched your video several times the day before picking it up and it gave me confidence about doing by myself. Rep fitness doesn’t even have an install video for this product, which is not great
I’m really glad it helped! It’s been a good trainer for us. I hope it is for you too.
Sometimes you get 10 new visitors. 🦌🦌🦌🦌🦌
Yup. Sometimes 15. That’s the max in one visit so far.
🤣🤣
mountain lion
Damn deers. Called the police once cause we swore we were hearing someone scream help! 😭🤣
Stay strapped or get clapped
That is a person or skinwalker…
You are the best man. Love it!
Awe, Thank you! 😊
Awesome video, we’re looking to add a portico to our house and this has given me ideas. Question ; why not add rebar to the slab holding the columns for extra support ? DIY’ er here Thanks!
Thank you! Definitely you can. I embedded a layer of wire mesh that I had left over from when we poured the slab and also used rebar in the hole in the center beneath the wire mesh. The center will carry the load and the perimeter was never going to be load bearing. If I stoned the entire column (like ep 82 Driveway columns), I would have used more rebar in the slab part. Also, don’t do a dry pour slab. I didn’t like it at all. Really glad you enjoyed it. Thx for watching!
Hey, thanks for this video. I'm thinking about getting one of these and it was good to see how it's packaged and what's pieces it comes in as I have a really old house with tiny doors! So your video helped! Ta from the UK!
I’m glad it has helped. You won’t be disappointed in it!
W
Looks nice, can we get an update in about a month to see if it's still closing nice?
It’s been about two weeks since the video was shot. In the next video I installed an opener. So far so good. I figure it’s been opened about 300 times so far between regular use and testing it. Closes great so far but I’ll let you know how it goes. Thanks for watching!
good job! dig the rifle wall
Thank you!
W
That looks Awesome ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you! So glad you like it.
Hey i know this man
🙌👏🙏🇻🇪💰😭😥
They won't knock that pillar over too easily. Nice work.😮
Embedding that steel post like that made it look real nice 👏
Thanks! I have to say, I stole the idea. I saw another gate done that way and really liked it!
Looks like we have similar interest. Fitness, hiking, small tough dogs. I just subscribed. Good luck on your channel and I look forward to seeing more adventures from you!
Good job ! Thnx from France
I’m so happy you liked it. Thank you!
Thanks for the video. I watched each section along with consulting the directions and it really helped when putting this together. I laughed when you assembled the towers though.....I knew you had them backwards and I kept wondering how long it was going to take you to realize it. lol
Yes, Hahaha. It was definitely a face palm moment. Glad it happened anyway, hopefully I suffered for everyone else. Glad you liked the video and that it helped! I hope you are enjoying the machine!
Woooooow ❤❤

is that 3/8 or 1/2 mix i cant tell from video llooks like 3/8
It has a smooth finish which makes me agree with you that it’s a 3/8”. Much smoother than our public roadways here. Honestly, I’d have to defer to my asphalt company, because I’m not 100%sure.
@@AcupulaAcres ya 3/8 is basically liquid 1/2 is harder to pave 🤣
@programmer6428 any harder and I don’t think they could pull it up that hill. I don’t pave for a living obviously but I have a lot of respect for those that do. No joke, it’s hard work and unappreciated by most who drive on it daily!
@@AcupulaAcres dont get into it if you value your body 😂 im a PW contractor and hate paving but it pays!
"promosm" 👉
Great work, very ingenious too. I’ll be attempting this very style in my laundry room as I too do not have a broom closet. 😊😊😊
Glad you like it! Good luck on your project!
How much more for concrete?
For this 800’ driveway, it would have been another $30,000.
Fast forward 20 years: the owner cries as their investment erodes away every winter
Not in the south. I’d agree if we got any snow or ice.

I stay up too late, got people in my brain, mmmm, that’s what people say, mmmm, that’s what people say
Why do you alternate bays during application? Genuinely asking.
Great question. Both produce heat while expanding. Especially closed cell. So it’s to keep the temperature down. Too much heat in one space is not good
OMG MY FRIEND IS ON THERE!!!!
Mountain cabin my butt. That's the beginning of a mountain mansion. Good work.
Thanks man. It’s too big for me. If am able, my next will be smaller!
Thank you so much for putting this together! I had just purchased this and your video saved me hours of struggle.
So glad. That means a lot that it helped!
