Could be, I just feel like it's a bit early, no? Malice is not even out in the TCG just yet as far as I understand, how likely is it we get Malice in MD before the TCG really?

I was indeed confused when this situation came up when i wa splaying VS and shiftered a pend player, i was like oh shit their cards are just gonna go to the extra deck. Then like you said they got banished instead. Needless to say that was an insta win

Most of my other decks (outside of Kash and a couple others) are link based decks mostly so I fully understand that Shifter resolving against some of these decks is basically an insta-lose HOWEVER looking back on it - it's also pretty rare that I play against many shifter decks outside of some of the events etc so my thinking is - yes on paper is can win the game turn 1 for a shifter player, but realistically Kash/Exosister/Floo etc are not even close to as common as most of the "non shifter" decks. It might just be Tenpai who aren't as affected by shifter that has thrust it into the limelight lately for a "popular deck" that runs shifter 😅

Definitely "tenpai" hits. Shifter is also just another card that is super cringe in a best of 1 formar

D-Shifter is a somewhat evil card, but as stated in the video, I enjoy the decks that can abuse it since this meta is pretty bad. If the meta wasn't "toss all this to the grave, 17 effects occur" or "watch me link climb to 6+ unaffected/omni negate link monsters using hand/field/GY" it would probably be a lot less prevalent as a strategy - the entire meta in my experience is "im gonna go first, and I have tailored my deck to make it so my opponent cant play on their turn/I can negate 12 times before I need to worry + I have maxx c and ash and imperm ready" - which also explains Tenpais popularity imo I agree with you on basically "stun" cards + maxx c (obviously I don't quite agree with d-shifter but thats just me) - but again I can't hate the players, I have to choose to hate Konami for the choices they make.. They nerf SOME stun cards every so often but there are so many that it ends up being pretty void for the most part.. For me its pendulum, as cool as the mechanic seems, I just cant wrap my head around it xD luckily its not that popular that I ever face that many pendulum decks xD Tenpai I'm sure will get a nerf at some point, it's also exceedingly boring to play (though it does quite heavily rely on the normal summon in my experience, but I have only played with it a handful of times) I haven't seen or heard anything about Ryzeal, but at least for now its only in the OCG so it will likely be some time until we get in Master Duel - I'm expecting Fiendsmith to be "the thing" if I had to expect a "meta changing archetype" to come out in February 😅

@@TriixstarHD well to start, Ryzeal is a rank 4 xyz toolbox that special summons a lot per turn like Salamangreat, and can also negate effects even through chain blocks with its field spell. it has a rank-4 XYZ that has a varying number of materials that (not once per turn) can detach to pop cards on the field indiscriminately. I always had this suggestion, but yugioh master duel should have a real duel mode where both players have 120-200 seconds to setup their board (where you cant affect your opponent during this period) before a coin flips and the first person to go is chosen. It would eliminate the need to prevent first turn attacks (which already doesnt make sense) and would open the door to more lenient normal summoning rules being implemented, which would fix a lot of old decks' problems as well.

I definitely agree with the Tenpai thing, it's just getting a pretty long grace period for how strong the deck is xD I do remember a time where I considered Trickstar's (as a fun play on my TriixstaR thing) and looked up a decklist, and one of the comments was like "if only our field spell wasn't limited" so I'm sure the Trickstar players are happy! Prosperity ban hurts so many decks though which is why it's kinda sad, but it is a generally good card for either banishing ED mons, scouting for Ash etc so I guess we will have to see how the rest develops.. it just felt like Prosperity helped to play through what otherwise could be bricks (Bricktira being one of them lol)

I appreciate the sentiment, "stressful" is probably a bit of youtuber hyperbole, generally speaking I enjoy the game (I have 535 hours atm xD), I just don't love the sweat-fest events like Duelist Cup, I have no problem with most of the other more casual/fun events just.. "ranked but not ranked" is a hard pill to swallow when your F2P gems kinda depend on it T_T

@@TriixstarHD I agree, it sucks that every other event these days is just a duelist cup instead of a fun event, but if you are just collecting the gems, you can stop at level 15, since you can't derank at that level. In my case, last I got to level 19 and then quit because I was there only for the gems, and I was luck I didn't see a lot of stun because otherwise I would have quit a lot sooner.

@@TriixstarHD yes… and would it be good to implement some other engines like bystials as hand traps which would also trigger Ariseheart to suck up the banished card? Which would also trigger shangri for more zone locking

@@Crimsontears95 Kashtira can definitely work with Bystials, however it would only trigger arise-heart's suck effect. Unfortunately, Shangri-Ira only triggers on banishment facedown so things like evenly matched or Kashtira cards themselves.. I show the decklist in part 1 of this series but lately I have been struggling a bit with consistency issues and indeed also looking for a couple ways to try boost that! Floo is also one of my favourite decks, I am just not nearly as competent with it as I am with Kash.. at least not yet xD very interesting challenge though! Most of floo's best cards are SR or below, but I imagine it must have been even more of a challenge without advent or even swallows cowrie xD I kind of agree as well, not much point in hating the players of stun etc, at the end of the day, we are all playing the same game and even I started building Runick Stun mid-event.. it takes one bad day and next thing you know, you're a stun player haha I appreciate the kind words man! I fully get you, I'm also F2P hence my lack of resources most of the time xD but really good job on your grind man! it couldn't have been easy! it was indeed essentially ranked, but with more variance in the actual ranks of the opponents themselves xD

@@LetsDuel_RUclips I'm not so sure it will be that easy, Kashtira is a very "go first and pray you don't brick" type of deck.. but the amount of bricks and coin toss losses I'm getting is getting kinda wild xD

I believe I have run into this deck once or twice.. though luckily not very often! mostly for me, it's been Centur-ion, Stun, Voiceless Voice, a couple of SEFK or Yubel

I'm starting to feel it now for sure! managed to level 14ish without too many issues on Kash.. but I'm now experiencing nothing but problems xD

I'm also kinda considering 17 "the end" - not that I wont play but, I can live without the last 200 gems from the levels and the title thing xD Also the same thing happened to me with my Kashtira deck.. literally one game away from level 17 to now battling from 15 back up :')

@@TriixstarHD I don’t think you can level down from 17 so it’s just the next milestone, I would happily push for 20 but I don’t know if I’m going to be able to get level 17 in the first place running Dino but it’s my best deck and don’t have ur points for better decks but the free gems from the events have been great I agree bought a few packs and I’m sitting at 4.3k think I’m waiting until the hero support comes out so I can drop all my gems getting what I need for a second deck that I like, sorry for the rant haha GL getting level 17 wish ya all the best bro 👍✌️👌

I've just been through the same thing.. had 1 duel to get to level 17 i think it was, now back to 15 :')

I get like 10 matches of centurion and yubela . Then like 10 of not seeing them at all.. then once backup the same thing.. so boring

@@TriixstarHD I feel you. Personally I just run whatever deck can start with 2 cards and fill the rest of the deck with outs that can't be responded to. Ra, Kaiju, lava golem, with any engine(s) that don't give AF about that first summon. I still lose too and trust the bullshit gets to me too. But like way less than what y'all are experiencing. I personally choose to go second.

@@takeyourpoisoniv I have been dying to put together a go second deck just for this event, the decks I play most are just hard lose if I go second, so much so I am also REALLY close to joining the dark side.. er.. i mean. trying to build stun xD

I think that simple minded approach of running a ton of Kaijus and cards you can’t respond to will be helpful to get you to duel lvl 10 after that you’ll get paired with snake eyes etc. and forced first from coin toss

I must be incredibly unlucky. I've ran into multiple people playing that transaction roll back otk deck 😢. Sucks going second against that deck. You just die before getting to play a card 😂. Has anybody else ran into them?

You play to the best of your ability and understand what problems may come. If you’re constantly complaining about everything I don’t see how you expect to ever deal with any situation. See what went wrong, see if winning was possible, think of every outcome, if you can’t do all that. You probably shouldn’t be playing Yu-gi-oh

Ngl as much as I love Kashtira, this event got me really feeling for a blind second deck - the inconsistency sometimes is WILD. I dont know if I would wanna go full "dark side" with stun, but could definitely consider some sort of blind second thing just to round out the last bit of the event now xD

I experienced a similar thing! I had been playing Kashtira the whole way and managed up to I think level 16 or so, then it got really rough and I got frustrated with Kashtiras inability to be consistent (thanks Konami) so I tried 1 duel with Ice Barrier and managed to avoid demotion. I am starting to piece together now why so many high ranked players are playing a variant of stun. I'm pretty close to putting my Floo deck back together and just trying to "Floo stun" my way up to the end xD

That's Master Duel game's logic for you. But you don't need to win everygame, just take a couple hour break when you suffer a lost streaks

@@TriixstarHD Branded, I’d say I’ve quite mastered the deck, but I’m really pissed by the matchups, I’m so unlucky that 8/10 matches I’ve played are all stun decks

​@@bachouvenn3563 ah man the deck that I had started trying to build all the way back when I first started playing 😅 Branded is still super strong, no meta decks really like playing against stun so remember it's not just you 😅

I've not had issues getting max DC. Got lucky and mostly faced Yubel players and as a ninja user, they're pretty easy.
