    • @f800rider3

      Daaaamn, I usually answer to everyone, I don't know why I forgot your... well better late than never but I think you found out by yourself already, I could do almost 400 KM with a full gas tank @ 90kp/h, so you could expect something between 350/400 KM (Ye I know this is insane for a bike but the fuel consumption is around 3.4L/100 so)

  • @Chriswilliams-lx9mx
    @Chriswilliams-lx9mx 7 лет назад

    I've just picked a 2015 model up and I'm sure it's got a restricted kit on it,as the one in the vid seems a lot easier revving,how would I know by looking if the kit is fitted?

    • @f800rider3
      @f800rider3 7 лет назад

      Hey, well you "feel" it, though it's hard to tell if you can't compare with another bike, but the restriction is 34hp on such bike, you should feel if the bike has 34 or 87hp, just open the gas in a straight line and try to compare with the times on this video :)

    A work friend of mine was kind enough to let me take one of these out for a drive a couple weeks ago. It is very fast, and easy to drive slow. To me, first gear was nice and long and the bike over-all was pretty good. Bad points.... I found the clutch a little heavy, the bike vibes quite a bit and it didn't fall into corners like other bikes I've tried.

    this bike is awesome, 90 hp which is enough for everything unless you want to race which would be stupid because it isn't a race bike, and the power max power comes at just 8000 rpm, and 86 nm of torque at 5800. must be so cool and relaxed to ride that bike. not like my 150cc bike haha

    • @f800rider3
      @f800rider3 8 лет назад

      +Slorm Raptor Well, you said everything about the bike :) Though you still can race as it has a lot of torque ! It easily keep up with another 800cc such as a z800.

    • @xXxTripleHxXx
      @xXxTripleHxXx 8 лет назад

      Doesnt the Z800 have more hp? like 115 something similar...

    • @f800rider3
      @f800rider3 8 лет назад

      Yes, the z800 has 113hp, but the f800 got a bit more torque and reaches it earlier, so it can keep with a z800, though the z800 has a better top speed :)

    • @xXxTripleHxXx
      @xXxTripleHxXx 8 лет назад

      The F800 has an engine that is build for good torque while the Z800 4 cylinder requires rpms to achieve power i get that. However to me the engine sounds hollow and so far i havent heared about an exaust that would make the sound into something more sporty. Even the MT 07 with its 700 twin sounds better imo. specially with a new exaust. The MT 07 will probably be my fist bike and when i get tired of that wich will hopefully take a good while its bigger brother the MT 09 looks very interesting. I mate of mine has one and this 3 cylinder sounds increadible. Also 115 hp for just 8000€ is an argument on its own

    • @f800rider3
      @f800rider3 8 лет назад

      ya, the MT 07 has an incredible lovely sound when it has a custom exhaust, though the BMW is still cool but you're right, the sound isn't as deep as a MT 07 can be, even with the akrapovic exhaust ! MT 09 is also a very good choice, very powerful and it's a 3 cylinder as you said, so it has a good torque and a good enough top speed.

    Nice vid. Just perfect. Do u think if u put a bigger sprocket in the front the bike can take it? Or a smaller one in the back. I mean the bike has loads of torque. And they made it on purpose to mess up gears 4, 5, & 6 and make them all shorter than usual, for city use. Admittedly that's where I use my bike the most. The result is all those CB600F hornets and Z750s gaining on top speed!!! With minor modifications I think, Iridium spark plugs, Power Commander and such. Really pisses me off as there's a lot of them where I live. Do u know of anyone who has done that? Thanks. Love my bike.

    • @f800rider3
      @f800rider3 9 лет назад

      jamiebr33 I've honestly no idea on what it'd do, I believe it'd do the same as if you were changing the sprocket on another bike, the bigger the sprocket is, the more acceleration you'll get and a smaller sprocket will give you a better top speed. To be honest, unless you've a 2km straight road, you got all your chance against these type of bike ;)
