I made this little video to introduce my future riding movies. Hope you'll enjoy :)
BMW F800R Acceleration 0-200 km/h
BMW F800R acceleration from 0 to 200kph plus some other tests. There is no other video showing the F800R acceleration so I decided to make one. Recorded on a closed road.
50-150 uhhuuu 🔝 Minha XT660 quebra no meio se fizer isso em 5ª marcha 😅
Very useful for those who want to buy one ! Thank you
How heavy is the rider?
60kg
Nice thanks. I have a bike which is twice as fast 0-200, but I dont feel I need it. I would like to try the quality of a BMW next time, and the 800R is quite light, - I think its a pleasent ride! :-) Is it comfy?
It's very comfy yes !
Hey buddy, just curious. What do you ride nowadays?
Hey mate, right after the F800R I bought an S1000R, crashed it 1 year after, and bought another one, I can't find a better bike for everydays use and some riding on a circuit ! :)
@@f800rider3 Nice
Clutching it for “more” speed and power @ 9000rpm (redline) duh , hopefully you have learned more about riding since you created this video! Good effort
How about a bumpy road ? I don't clutch at high rpm, good effort tho
Superbă lansarea!
It sounds so funny but it pulls hard on the low range... love it.
Just a tad better launch and you have been 3.7-3.8 0-100. But that was good enough.
That 220 at the end was rather optimistic.................
Not shown on the video but it goes @ 220 :)
Very good man Just a short video but with all you need to know about acceleration of this bike! Love it!
Thanks bud !
Enough power and torque with a passenger and full luggages?
Hey, ye it'll "work" but you'll feel the weight on the acceleration for sure.
@@f800rider3 Cheers bud!
@@pomajzsolt4363 Have fun !
Like mine... great performance! ✌️
Yep, good enough for a beginner imo ;)
Also good enough for not beginner I come from a gsxr but thinking about this instead of k1200 I always try to kill myself on the gsxr. And this Is lighter. Power is not everything. Something you start to consider when you get advanced :-)
@@sund5 agree with you ✌️
@@f800rider3Are you kidding? This bike basically is an Audi RS3 on two wheels when it comes to acceleration
wee wee, madamoyzel. om-a-lette doo fro-mayge! Howdy from the good ol' U S of A, pardner!
huh
Ahaha..c pas un missile
85cv tu t'attendais a quoi ?
I have that bike and its a very good bike. Performance is good for its category. Thx
What's the problem with the engine sound when you reach the red zone ? Are you decelerating ?
Hey, no I'm not decelerating, this is the result of a very "bumpy" road, hence the sound you hear.
1:45 to 1:55 for exemple. It's not the road its your moto. mhmm
Oh that sound, then yeah, it's called a limiter, every bike have it if you didn't know :|
F800Rider My gladius did not have this. I can reach maximum tpm then it tilt at 11.5.
it depends of the bike, the F800R has a very particular engine and it revs very fast.
Ca sent l'urine !
Its so cute :)
Is it ?^^
Had the bike back to the dealer and there was a restricter kit fitted,it was restricted to 46hp,I knew it wasn't right but Alls good now👍off to Prague on tues, what type of mileage can I expect from a tankful at a steady 70 mph?oh and thanks for the reply🏍
Daaaamn, I usually answer to everyone, I don't know why I forgot your... well better late than never but I think you found out by yourself already, I could do almost 400 KM with a full gas tank @ 90kp/h, so you could expect something between 350/400 KM (Ye I know this is insane for a bike but the fuel consumption is around 3.4L/100 so)
I've just picked a 2015 model up and I'm sure it's got a restricted kit on it,as the one in the vid seems a lot easier revving, how would I know by looking if the kit is fitted?
Hey, well you "feel" it, though it's hard to tell if you can't compare with another bike, but the restriction is 34hp on such bike, you should feel if the bike has 34 or 87hp, just open the gas in a straight line and try to compare with the times on this video :)
@@f800rider3how to remove blockade? 😢
So....is it really trustworthy??
Yus
I love it when people blur the speedometer and not the tachometer. You do realize that your speed can easily be calculated by information that is readily available on the manufacturer's website right? Namely, the gear ratio & tire diameter, you provided the RPM in the video.
He was only in 1st, gear! wtf you talkin' bout!
I think the same. This video is cool.
Hi, have you experienced any problems with the front wheel going over 150km/h?
Hey, not that I can remember, you mean shaking problems ? Cause I never had any, that bike just goes straight !
Good info, thanks.
be hard to tell if you hit 267...
Not my bike though
Go Mobylette!!
Great job. Thankyou
You're welcome ! :)
A work friend of mine was kind enough to let me take one of these out for a drive a couple weeks ago. It is very fast, and easy to drive slow. To me, first gear was nice and long and the bike over-all was pretty good. Bad points.... I found the clutch a little heavy, the bike vibes quite a bit and it didn't fall into corners like other bikes I've tried.
Yes, as I said, it has enough torque for an everydays bike ! The vibes/shake are normal, it's a 2-cylinder, but you get used to it :)
vídeo sensacional, show, parabéns.
Would this be a good first bike, I am in the market looking for one?
Yup, it's very easy and safe to ride, it has enough power for a first bike to start with. If you can find a cheap one with some options, don't hesitate !
+F800Rider thanks I have just spoke to a dealership next one that comes in will me mine , and a full house option is available so I am going for ot thanks a lot!
You're welcome, you won't regreat it ! Enjoy your future rides :)
+F800Rider Thanks.
wow you really just jumped on that didn;t you!
Es Bien eso F800R
Es Bien eso F800r
esta bien eso f800r
great test all i needed to know ty
Test ultra complet !
this bike is awesome, 90 hp which is enough for everything unless you want to race which would be stupid because it isn't a race bike, and the power max power comes at just 8000 rpm, and 86 nm of torque at 5800. must be so cool and relaxed to ride that bike. not like my 150cc bike haha
+Slorm Raptor Well, you said everything about the bike :) Though you still can race as it has a lot of torque ! It easily keep up with another 800cc such as a z800.
Doesnt the Z800 have more hp? like 115 something similar...
Yes, the z800 has 113hp, but the f800 got a bit more torque and reaches it earlier, so it can keep with a z800, though the z800 has a better top speed :)
The F800 has an engine that is build for good torque while the Z800 4 cylinder requires rpms to achieve power i get that. However to me the engine sounds hollow and so far i havent heared about an exaust that would make the sound into something more sporty. Even the MT 07 with its 700 twin sounds better imo. specially with a new exaust. The MT 07 will probably be my fist bike and when i get tired of that wich will hopefully take a good while its bigger brother the MT 09 looks very interesting. I mate of mine has one and this 3 cylinder sounds increadible. Also 115 hp for just 8000€ is an argument on its own
ya, the MT 07 has an incredible lovely sound when it has a custom exhaust, though the BMW is still cool but you're right, the sound isn't as deep as a MT 07 can be, even with the akrapovic exhaust ! MT 09 is also a very good choice, very powerful and it's a 3 cylinder as you said, so it has a good torque and a good enough top speed.
Good video, slow bike
+mateygdansk Only 87 bhp, still quick enough for a beginner :)
This bike is fantastic!! Known by all as "Flying Carpet"!!
Because it's Smooth or?
Super smooth
thanks buddy....useful info!
+fungkoq You're welcome :)
geht die f800 GSdann genauso ab?
+Kirk Hammett It's exactly the same motor, so I believe yes.
F800Rider but is the aerodynamic the same?
+Kirk Hammett You should be more protected on the 800gs as you sit lower than on the 800R, so you must have less air resistance on the gs yes.
F800Rider ok thanks
This is just what I needed! Thanks!
+John Mård You're welcome !
Awesome video mate... That's really useful for whoever is willing to buy one...
+TJBssc Thank you !
Perfect information, thnks
220???
Rodrigo Lopes What 220 ?
Nice vid. Just perfect. Do u think if u put a bigger sprocket in the front the bike can take it? Or a smaller one in the back. I mean the bike has loads of torque. And they made it on purpose to mess up gears 4, 5, & 6 and make them all shorter than usual, for city use. Admittedly that's where I use my bike the most. The result is all those CB600F hornets and Z750s gaining on top speed!!! With minor modifications I think, Iridium spark plugs, Power Commander and such. Really pisses me off as there's a lot of them where I live. Do u know of anyone who has done that? Thanks. Love my bike.
jamiebr33 I've honestly no idea on what it'd do, I believe it'd do the same as if you were changing the sprocket on another bike, the bigger the sprocket is, the more acceleration you'll get and a smaller sprocket will give you a better top speed. To be honest, unless you've a 2km straight road, you got all your chance against these type of bike ;)
F800Rider I think the only way is to try it. 42t rear sprocket from F800GS will fit just fine. I think it'll be way too long gearing but it's worth a try. Original is 47t. I'll borrow a gopro from my friend. Thx.
jamie mann Ye I'd be glad to see the result !
