Hi Linda! This is neither a "her" or "cow," but it is a very large steer. I just saw that the 2024 Guinness Record for the worlds largest living steer is 6 ft. 1 inch, and this guy rivals that. No, he doesn't fit well in that tilt chute, but not many places have one on hand that handles cattle of that size. It is actually beneficial to keep the animal as upright as possible, instead of completely lateral, to keep the internal organs in the most natural position. This will allow both of their lungs to inflate fully and with less effort and help prevent the animal from bloating. While I can appreciate you being concerned for him being "scared to death," the number 1 goal of any procedure is to keep the patient alive. I hope this helps you to understand what you are seeing.
