its a give and take, Toyota helped design the b48 and 58 so theoretically better reliability. wanting 350hp, which is daily driver sweet spot in my opinion, would kind of make sense to get the 4 cyl. 4 cyl maintenance cost is shockingly cheaper in the long run along with 12mpg more fuel range (probably more like 5-6mpg when tuned to 350). downside is not a very good sounding engine, and its a high compression forced induction engine so probably cant really breach roughly 380 without risking reliability. price to price i think id rather have a tuned 330i xdrive with the m sport package. if u got it like that get the m340 obv but to me its right on the edge of too much power and attention for a daily though
@@docexoticthe b46/48 can def make more safely, it’s the same exact motor as the b58 just 2 less cylinders. With that being said , if b58 are making 650-700hp safely then mathematically speaking the b46/48 should be able to handle around 400-450 safely. Remember these motors have a closed deck, forged pistons, rods and crankshaft.

to get stage 2 you need cat less down pipes and boot mod ecu tune
Gotta Get ur ECU unlocked and get a catless dp then download either BM3 or MHD and couple of clicks you’ll be set
