My mom died this year June 1, 2024. I’m an only child and we only had each other. This is my for holiday alone. I’m 37 with no family of my own. But I’m happy she’s in a better place. ❤

Being alone is wonderful. Nobody using you, hating you secretly, lying to you, resenting you. My cat and I love xmas together, it’s so peaceful and wholesome. Merry Christmas everyone! 🥰💖🕊️🎄🐈

Christmas is about Jesus Christ. If you know Jesus or you repent of sin ask Him into your heart and life, you will never be lonely again. Being alone and being lonely are 2 different things.Jesus can change everything🙏🎄Jesus bless everyone in this place 🙏🕊

I love this. Divorced, kids grown, and the occasional tome spent with them and/or the grands, is lovely. And as someone who escapes an unhealthy 36 year marriage finally, I absolutely cherish my quiet alone time, the happy little cottage life I've created for myself, and I am quite comfortable with my own company. But the kids all are so busy or absorbed in their lives, I feel sometimes they often forget about me. I haven't a lot of friends, because over the years, he made sure all my friends and support systems were gone. Those I have left, including my siblings, live 2,000 miles away, and though we chat and phone and catch up that way, it's not quite the same. So yes, I have changed my holiday traditions, adjusted them, adopted new ones, and I do love my healing solitude. And I love mince pie, and will make it for myself on occasion, and I am the woman who adores crows. I feed the birds round my yard, I cuddle with my beloved dog. I take treats out to the woods for the wild critters )the wilting autumn pumpkins will be going soon!) But sometimes, another beloved human would be nice to have round, without me having to ask for such. Of their own accord, so to speak.

I know many people struggle at Christmas. I may well be spending a sizeable time of the season alone. I’m divorced in my 50s with no children. I enjoy being alone. I really do. We need to change “being alone” to “loneliness” which I found is a state of being I felt often when I was married. I have lovely friends and I’ll dip in and out of their family festivities which will be lovely. We can create a new life. I hope everyone finds peace in life.

We are never alone. Jesus is always with us and He cares. He longs for us to look up to Him and let Him love and comfort us. ❤🎄❤️

I live alone. I have lived alone for since before the Millenium. Every Christmas I decorate my apartment with lots of Christmas lights and make it cosy. I volunteer. I go out and meet friends. I arrange lunches with friends. I keep in touch with my family who live in different countries. I have a wonderful life. I consider myself blessed.

I have been alone every Christmas for maybe 50 years. But it’s okay. The afterlife will be rewarding.

I just read the title, but I’m tired of being judged for being alone at Christmas. Maybe I think “No one should be” whatever you are. Worry about yourself, stop judging.

The film is quite lovely. I take solace in the fact that I can celebrate Christmas on another day that we choose. Travel, work , extended family obligations can make it difficult to get together on THE DAY. We just choose a different day and do the traditions that please us. The joy is the same .... only the date is different. This can also be done with local friends, neighbors, knitting club members, book clubs from the local library .... post- Christmas potluck anyone? Bake some treats on Christmas and have your get together before Epiphany ( Jan 6th) . ✨🎄❤Perhaps plan to attend a church service ( the music is lovely) and offer somone who cannot drive a lift to church? This is so bittersweet, I don't mind getting old but...I miss my family, my children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. I was always close with my Mother, Grandmother and Aunt. I guess I assumed it would be the same for me. I love them all dearly, yet this time of year has gotten sad for me too. Merry Christmas all! Gods Blessings!!

No one should be alone for Christmas! Blame the government and powerful companies that use American civilians asinf control prisoners in your own home!! They is happening to honest hard working people, just had to share that this government has been so corrupted. Happy holidays to all enjoy each day as your last cause it can be taken away from sick powerful people of this world, but I still have my hope and win my higher power my God!! he is the beginning and the end. Beautifully poignant little film. I love to walk in the forest park beside my apartment building. I am alone too. My only child, my son died in 2015. His nickname was "BIRD" I Will make some mince tarts the way my mother taught me, and take one out to the forest. Joy in the woods. ❤

It’s strange. For years I put on big Christmases for my family. I was a single parent with a special needs son but I always wanted my children to experience big family Christmases. This generation now are completely different and what has caught me off guard at the age of 61 is that they are all getting on with their lives and their arrangements and no one has asked me to join them in the celebrations. I haven’t fallen out with anyone and still see people during the year but I find it really strange. Maybe it’s just me.

Try creating your own traditions. Int he 90s, I started spending holidays outside, hiking, walking, whether snow, rain, or sunshine. There's always someone else doing the same, single people, couples, families, dogs, not everyone follows traditions (not everyone is Christian either). I look forward to my solo holidays every year!
