My only problem is that fnaf security break takes play way in the future so no one would use vhs 📼 and it would be higher quality So it just doesn’t fit

I have two thoughts on what nightmare is: (both are definitely plausible) Matpats theory: basically, nightmare is the same as nightmare fredbear but the illusion disc (this is assuming that Michael is the one we play as) is failing, resulting in nightmare, the evidence for this is the fact that nightmare looks like fredbear, and acts similarly, just more aggressive, not only that, the jumpscare sound is a Computerized auditory sequence, unlike the normal jumpscare like everyone else, more evidence for this is the fact that the nights before we face nightmare, we fight nightmare fredbear first. Crying child theory: this theory basically says that nightmare is a separate illusion disc, and is meant to represent the crying child, once again, assuming we play as Michael, nightmare is suppose to represent the crying child because the color pallet is that of the crying child’s, the yellow hat and bow tie are meant to represent fredbear, the thing the crying child feared the most, the jumpscare sound of nightmare (if sped up) is actually the sound of an ambulance, reminding Michael of what happened after the bite.
