Thanks !! Completely stock!! I put brand new oem pads for the track day . Brakes faded after two hard laps . Definitely need to get better pads and just bigger brakes overall, likely get some RCF brakes or something . Oil temps got up there but never into the red. Just did a drive through the pits for a quick cool down and then back out again

​@@kris_sabioISF brakes bolt up with very little modification. RCF brakes need a little more work.

I hooked up my own Mishimoto oil coolers up for the the engine oil and transmission fluid. After a day long track day I had no issues with fluid temps. I went through a set of front brake pads though. They really do not like track use. I took the front dust shields off to help with cooling.

@@kevintsab thanks!!! Yes I Can definitely tell you . I still have my ISF as my track/ weekend car. Currently had 210k Miles on the odometer. Differences are just a few things . The ISF has better cooling components, and bigger brakes. The IS500 under hard driving will have the oil temp go much higher must faster than the ISF. I’ve experienced the difference personally. The IS500 does make a bit more power stock vs stock so in a straight line, the IS500 would pull on the ISF stock vs stock. However I know on a track the ISF would be able to lap better due to cooling and braking superiority. My friend is selling his ISF here in Tampa if you’d want to hit him up! It has a few mods already including upgraded cooling, exhaust, and even a red GSF interior swap. Honestly if you get a higher mileage ISF you’ll be fine. Obviously case by case basis but bullet proof engine aside from the valley plate seal leak that’s always going to happen. My 2010 ISF has never given me issues up to where it sits now at 210k miles aside from normal wear and tear issues you’d expect. Toyota reliability is insane.

@@kris_sabio nice, what’s the proper psi off the track? do you have to inflate the tires back to normal after track runs?

Tire pressure is usually reduced about 5psi below what factory recommends. Driving on the track puts a lot more heat in tires than when driving on street. If you don’t lower pressure then you would end up driving on overinflated tires.

I have an ISF as well which has held up to 210K miles so far, so I’d say the predecessor is a platform that is pretty solid that the 500 would likely be as it ages .. some say it’s terrible choice like you , others say it’s wise, awesome etc.. … people have their Own preferences and opinions … the world goes round and round 🌎 Is there something faster ? Same motor in the ISF, RCF, GSF, LC500 etc.. Lexus racing team winning championships in the RCF.. and get invited to their racing hospitality suites because of my passion for the platform … That’s all part of the reason I chose what I chose 🫡

Why hate on cars u can't afford? I bought 3 brand new IS500s, including the Launch Edition. It's also the last n/a V8 sedan that's left on the market new. The others from last year Charger & 300c are POS's.

@@kris_sabio The chassis is very soft as well as an FYI. I also own a 3IS and it exhibits a lot of chassis torsional flex.

Love the car ! I’m biased towards my opinion since I have an ISF, plus had an LC500. Reliability is key here. My ISF 209K miles and has never had any major mechanical issues ever and probably will never tbh. While the Lexus V8’s are not the quickest, not a lot of aftermarket performance mods, they’re the road less traveled and always a great conversation when people are surprised to hear the v8.

Seemed pretty planted and not too much body roll. I didn’t have a chance to drive even with stock suspension so I didn’t really have anything to compare it against… lol
