Hi! Yeah, I’ve tried the tea bag with glue and the Orly Nail Rescue kit which is like an acrylic dip powder you put on with nail glue and didn’t like either of those ways. My hardest thing was trying to file them smooth. There always seemed to be bumps and ridges with those. I think this is the winning product in my opinion. Glad I found it!! That trick did really work well. I’ve also read long ago, if you have ridges or bumps in your nails you could try a matte topcoat as basecoat to help smooth it out. I’ve never tried that but do remember seeing that at some point. Keep me updated on how you like it once you get it in and try it. Thanks for watching!! ❤❤❤

@@realpolishfanatic I’m definitely going to try using matte top coat over my ridges to see if that helps. I’ve tried OPI and KBShimmer’s ridge filling base coat and still saw my ridges. Thanks 😊

Yeah, that coral is beautiful. I kind of wish I’d bought two bottles. Not that I need backups but it is backup worthy. 😊 Self care in whatever form that makes you feel good is so important. I’m not a huge makeup wearer. I put a little on for the videos but don’t wear it day to day. But I do love taking time to play in my polish and do my nails. ❤❤❤

Hi! Yeah, the strip is holding up well. I think it’s smart to have on hand. It’s probably the best thing I’ve found to try to save a break. I’ve tried a few things - orly nail rescue and a tea bag with nail glue - to name a couple and I could never get them filed down smooth on my nail. So I’m happy I took the chance on this and I hope you like it as well if you need it. 🤞for no breaks though. 😊 Thanks for watching and sharing that you picked up the kit. ❤❤❤

@@realpolishfanatic I had been considering the Orly Rescue, but I developed such severe dip flu from dip manicures, and it seems so similar to dip that I was hesitant. I also could never get the tea bag trick to work right. In any case, I was so excited to see your video on the kit, because it seems so simple and less messy than other options. Thanks, again!

Hi! lol. Until I recently started using the matte topcoat over the swatches for the videos, I was absolutely team glossy. I liked matte polish well enough but really never went out of my way to add a matte topcoat. It’s really changing my mind lately. Since using it so often I am really loving it. I hope you love it! It is a lot shiftier in person too, going to a pretty purple. I wasn’t able to get that to show very well but it is a lovely color. I like these in two coats, even if they show a little visible nail line, because I like seeing the shift between base color and shimmer too.
