I took her statement, "You disappoint me." very differently. For all his genius and perception, he has fallen into the honey trap. The tone of her voice is quite sharp there. Very different feom their usual soft, hushed tones. However, she is fighting her own feelings for him. I.e. she not only accepted the kiss, she moved into it; and when she says she's disappointed, she sees how forlorn he looks right after. I think in that monent, she knew Tommy was really falling for her. It wasn't just a manipulation. He genuinely wants her and she reciprocates with a great line to show that she is interested too.
