I just found your videos. So inspiring. You're right is mostly mental.
I know this is an old video, but stay away from soy products. They can, especially for men, cause issues. Soy is turned to estrogen in enough amounts that can cause emotional issues and hormone balance issues. Goat milk is VASTLY better in many ways. I learned the hard way.
2024 ... Well Mat was right this works. Yes my life has completely changed for the best 🙏 no high blood pressure no more meds.. I had surgery in June and today is October down from 330 to 215 pants from 48 to a very very loose 38 .. ok pay attention. Yes I won't be able to eat that entire pizza 🍕 it's ok I don't need it I'm good with 4 tostito little pizza rolls I'm good with 3 dumplings but please take your vitamins and iron ..also get protein shakes I like the fair life brand 42 grams of protein 2 shakes in the day and I'm good . Also I take B12 injections. No biggie because I did hcg and I'm not scared of needles. But do I have any pain any regrets NO I wish I would have done this 20 years ago
Can we get another update!
Wya, Matt? Come back. You're so close to getting monetized
Yes!
At my 1 week post op I started what is now a 5 day stall. I am at 189/190. I could get to thiscweight on my on and did so many, many times. I couldn't maintain the calorie deficit required to break through the stall without the surgery. Now that I have had the surgery, I still have the stall at the same weight. This is discouraging since now is when I should be dropping the weight. I was expecting the 3 week stall because that is when everyone says it happens. I am still on the full liquid diet. Protein shakes are too sweet. The unflavored has the aweful taste of whey. Unflavered does not mean flavorless. I have very few options of what I can tolerate. Nothing sweet at all. 4 oz is all i can consume in a short amount of time. So, today is my day 13. I found chicken bone broth with 4g of protein per 8 oz, no sugar, no carbs, no fat. 15 cals per 8 oz. I add a little rotisserie chicken seasoning to my cup and then sip on it. Basically, i have traded water for this bone broth. Bone broth has the protein. Water doesn't. I'll see how it goes. I do feel like I'm just trying to get through this stage the best I can. In 5 more days, I can start stage , mushy food. Over the past 13 days, i consume 32-40oz of liquid. 25-30g of protein. I don't really get hungry, but I miss flavor. Liquids are pretty bland.
Hi..it's been 4 years since you have posted. I pray all is well. God Bless
Update please
Would love to see an update. Blood tests would be great to see. Cholesterol c reactive protein, total and free testosterone. Just use shakes like core power 42gm and eat fibrous food like lentils and quinoa. You sound dehydrated and the ankles could actually be athletes foot that migrated up. Get your blood sugar checked just in case.
Impressive!
Core power shakes are great. 26 and 42gm protein options and they taste pretty good.
You look great buddy!!
Awesome 👏🏾 I seen your picture before and after and all I could do is tear up. I’m one week in post op sleeve.
Wish I had seen this before I did trust that first poot haha.
Hey Matt.. hope you're doing good I know you haven't done any video in a while I'm hoping you're doing well hope the family is doing good I had my surgery on the 10th of June and I've been it's going to be like 3 weeks 4 weeks the amount of energy that I have it's crazy how much energy I have I finally ran about 3 miles the other day and it felt good.. the surgery was basically in and out . I remember waking up and wanting to go for a walk and I haven't stopped God is good brother.. thank you for your inspiration...I regret not doing it sooner . Within a week and a half the doc to away my blood pressure medication because it was going to low .. finally no more hypertension
Matt, I am 6 days. Out thank you for speaking the truth. I am glad to see another guy's guy. On this same journey.
Great video.. Thank you!
Obesity is a progressive disease. It requires ongoing treatment.
I had to go back and look at your first video. You don't even look like the same person. It's inspiring to see how far you've come and how your lifestyle has changed for the better.
❤😮 you look amazing
Matt grey is natural when you're a father... Im fullgray with a 8 yr old .lol
This is the only reason im doing it! For my son
You are so sensible and grounded. Good luck with your quest. I am still on waiting list for surgery.
Hey Matt! I have a question for you.
I really like this guy. How he's doing well. Would love an update
How much did he weigh when got the weight loss surgery? Over 300lbs again?
An amazing journey. Wow, 200lbs gone? What was your starting weight just before the surgery Matt? Did you get over 400lbs after “The Biggest Loser?”
Hi Matt. I’m a fan. You and Suze did a good job on the show back in 2005. I liked “The Biggest Loser.” You helped inspired me from season 2 and the show has helped me live a leaner, healthier life. Thank you man. How much weight did you ultimately gain after you won at the finale almost 20 years ago? Was it at least 130lbs from what I read? How much weight have you lost since the surgery? Are you back at 182lbs? Hang in there buddy. Good luck to you and Suzy. 👍🏻
I guess I'm lucky. I had my surgery yesterday, I'm home today, and I have absolutely had no desire for any food. No looking in cupboards or the fridge. My wife could make up a feast, and I wouldn't eat it.
Same for me
Happy birthday Rex🎉❤❤❤❤
❤❤❤
❤❤❤
❤❤❤ Awesome Matt!!!
❤
❤
Matt you have been a blessing brother I'm at the beginning stage .. I have a 7 year old and I'm 50 so yeah this was the nail in the coffin no punt ..ha ...but your an amazing warrior brother! God bless you and thank you for being a brother to all of us who can't even wipe our own butts yeah being morbidly obese sucks.
Thank you for BEING REAL, and vulnerable. I'm starting my own VSG journey in about 2 weeks. I'm watching all your videos
My wife just got the surgery. How did your wife keep you in the program
When you are at your goal weight. How did you stop the weight and stabilize?
You look great, not too skinny. People who say that are just used to seeing overweight people everywhere lol
Just watched your video. I’m having a sleeve done tomorrow. Thank you so much for the your videos, I’m trying to watch them in order. I cannot tell you how grateful I am that you gave the walking advice immediately after surgery - I now plan on doing the same. I also appreciate the emotional aspect of your videos. That is the make it or break part of our success or failure. I am trying to come to terms with my relationship with food as well. Again, that you very much 👍🏻!!
How are you doing? Just came across you channel. Just wondering how VSG is going for you.
3 days out now. Would love to find a place to find more inspiration like this.
Have to say you look amazing bro
Having my by pass end of June 2023. Excited and very anxious about it. I sometimes get myself in a 50/50 mindset as concerned about any major health issues later from surgery
Hi Matt love the shart story!! I am 4 days post sleeve… I followed your advice with walking right after surgery… I have always been good with water.. I keep a 40 pack of Poland in the car at all times so that habit prior to the surgery is paying dividends.. thanks for the tips and sharing everything.. your an inspiration/ motivation/ stimulation lol!! Thanks again..
