How was this parade possible? How can we observe Mercury and Venus during the night since they are closer to the Sun that we are? The Earth is 150 million km from the Sun, Venus is 105 million and Mercury is 58 million. So, how can we see Mercury and Venus during the night? Shouldn't it be impossible?

Reminds me of the time I drove a bus from Sacramento to Los Angeles, it was my regular run. As we were leaving one morning I guy got on and said he need to go to Hollywood. I told him you're on the right bus we're going to Los Angeles, and took off, he started screaming NO I'm going to Hollywood, before I could explain to him, that Hollywood was just an area in Los Angeles. He jumped off the bus when I was doing 10 miles an hour, rolled around on the concrete. I stopped to see if he was all right and he just gave me the finger. I didn't think any more about it, until the next day. I was on my regular run from Sacramento to LA again, when I see this guy with a bandage head hitchhiking, holding up a sign that says Hollywood or bust. I'll say this he must have busted his head when he fell. And I always wondered if he got a ride with anybody did they tell him they are going to Los Angeles. If so he might have jumped out. This happened in April 1976 but I remember it like yesterday
