Always pop in to Aunt Avices when I'm passing 👍🏼.
Don't blame you, she makes the best pasties in Cornwall. Always keep several frozen ones in me freezer. 😀
Hello Ray, Can you tell me what year this is from please ? Your channel is really good.
It's from 2001. Ty for your comment, Glad you enjoy my videos.
@@rayworden4671 Sorry I meant what year was it filmed in. It looks a lot earlier than 2001.
@@ariroxyoursoxoff If you are talking about the video of the carnival parade, it's definitely 2001.
Hi Ray, just found this video, never seen it before but I’m fairy certain it’s my Dad who is filming, it’s definitely his voice and he has focused on my Mum and Auntie a couple of times. Such a lovely surprise, looked like a good turn out back then. Thanks. Gordon Molloy.
Hello Gordon, I remember your Dad let us have old films to copy for our archive, so this must have been it. Hope you are keeping well.
Hi Ray, enjoyed the video, haven’t been to these places for years so it was great to have a trip around. Really enjoyed the backing music that you used. Gordon Molloy.
Glad you enjoyed it Gordon, hope you are keeping well these days. 🙂
Well Done Ray, so many people that I remember and recognise, a shear delight from Gordon Molloy.
Thanks Gordon, glad you enjoyed it and hope you are keeping well. 😀
I think they Invented Tetris before the Russians watching them on the tower. Feel old as I could name everyone there.
This is probably my favourite old video and pictures of Delabole. It is the Delabole of my youth and before.
Much the same for me Phil. I didn't live in the village in my younger days, but as my Grandad had the shop at top of Meddas, I always thought of myself as belonging more to that end of the village than Pengelly.
Memories, the best of times.
They certainly were Phil, hope you are keeping well.
Ray this is awesome, made me smile so much seeing my Dad ❤️ Thank you! x
Glad you enjoyed it Tash. It was very much "him" wasn't it? xx
@@rayworden4671 Absolutely Dad all over! Shown it to Mum too. Love it 🙂 x

Hi Gareth, good to hear from you. I know Glynis and I think you have a brother, Michael, who is about my age. Hope all is well with you in these troubled times :D
thank you just seen my mum
Lots of familiar faces in this film Gareth, sadly many no longer with us. Glad you spotted your mum :)
Before the railways came in the 1890's, the slate had to be transported six, twisting miles to Port Gaverne, using as many as 30 wagons and 100 horses.
It was Graham, and much of the hard work loading slate onto the ships at Port Gaverne was done by women.
HI Ray some great pictures would you mind me putting a few of them on my facebook page which is based on Cornish Railways.
Thank you. Feel free to help yourself Barrie.
What's happened to the original thrilling, frenetic soundtrack. While I adore Maggie Pryor and Steeleye Span, this substitution simply won't do!
I understand what you say Paul, but it's just my take on it. Sorry if you don't like it. :)
