I decided to playthrough the game again out of excitement for the remasters announcement. But for people who are trying to do this quest for the first time PLEASE READ THIS COMMENT. First off at least in the wiiU version, a few lobsters dont appear until you have cleared certain chapters. I cant imagine who made such a braindead decision at monolithsoft but they did. So I understand being motivated for lore reasons to get the quest done asap but seriously dont try. Because its not even possible until after a predetermined chapter. Second, I have gone through this video twice and on my second attempt walked on every spot that every lobster was on and I still am short by 2. I found one in a spot I had mistaken for a different area on my second attempt at this. So while its possible that I just missed the other two by being careless. There is also a small stupid possibility that monolith locked some lobsters behind affinity mission progression. So seriously only do this mission if you're planning to 100% the game and do it at the very end. 3rd, once you do attempt this mission just make sure your compass is not locked to north like mine was. If you copy the video as close as possible youre more likely to not screw up like me. So make sure to switch that. Hopefully it will solve some of your pain. 4th, this last bit is just a rant but... monolithsoft idk why you have to put some stupid bullshit in every xenoblade game. Xb1s horrendous sidequests and grindyness. This quest for X and a lack of waypoints so people have to constantly use guides, 2s field skills and debatably the gatcha mechanic (I kinda liked it tho ngl) torna where all the sidequests are mandatory, 3 with some of the worst and cartoonishly evil villains Ive ever seen. Future connected for being a boring slog and future redeemed for... nah that ones good. But for as much as I love all these games there always one absurdly horrible decision made for each one. Can yall just stop doing that in the future? Thaaaaaanks.
