This one particular company has taking advantage of us more then once and I’m well aware that I let it happen and come to the conclusion it will not happen again. HOT Shot companies are never going to do well. They run the economy down. No business sense just a FAD.
All those Hot shot haulers is on of the reasons all trucking has LOW rates. Here's a tid bit nugget. Watch the videos for PIGLET

@@LaemcatchEm you can but I recommend getting some experience prior to getting in.

Hot shot haulers are out there cutting each other's throats. There's too many of them. And the foreigners are driving them. The driving down the prices doing the work for nothing
It's good to be in business as a repo man under Democrap Regimes 🎉🎉 👏🏼👑👏🏼👑
They fall out love with it when they realize the hours & miles kick inn. Not many people are cut out for it.. and anyone can sign on financing. That's the real problem
@@joshuaproud7272 yep!
Not true. The market went up and rates went down. The only people surviving are trust fund life insurance latch key babies that have the contracts and riding in daddy's Ole truck.
Any advice how to start this business?
Hot shots are always going out of business. It seems to happen around summer time, ironically thats when the IRS is sending out audit letters. Not saying the two are related, just making an observation.

Yes they're going broke, mainly because they are operated by idiots that haul freight WAYYYY too cheap, have NO idea what they are doing and should never have been in the business to begin with. All these people do is drag down the market and make it impossible for the real businessman to be able to make a living.
@@ronjohnson9641 exactly it’s a race to the bottom
Lots of democrap imported voters that had slush funds of 15,000-50,000 provided by the State Department programs (by Democrap administration)that have artificially increased capacity way way way beyond the market demands.... And now the cash cow is drying up, everyone's going bust that was running below cost of operating 🎉🎉
After fuel and insurance your making $1 to $1.25 a mile and living in a truck no thanks not worth it😮😮😅😮😮😮😮
@@patwyliee8068 agreed!
They don't know how to not take cheap freight.
@@terrellupshaw1433 that’s one of the major problems
Freight everywhere is drying up, around my area several smaller companies have closed up, a few moved out or just ceased operations. The rules for Hotshot rigs have changed too in some states. The max weight, licensing, and insurance costs have all changed. Ad that to the high cost of fuel, the lack of loads, and issues now at the border and with imports, which make up a good percentage of hot shot deliveries, being fewer and farther between many just shut down and gave up on the whole idea. Only the big guys are able to survive, mostly by hauling bigger, or multiple loads. From what I heard its about to get worse before it gets better, but I think if we get a a positive change in Washington things will loosen up a bit and maybe slowly recover from the last four years of utter disaster in the industry. Around here there's a reduction in freight coming into the area lately on all levels, a good bit of that has to do with some sort of crackdown at the northern border on freight that originated in China. From what I gathered by talking to a few brokers is that when they put higher tariffs on the Chinese imports, they stopped bringing it into the US and it now goes to Canada to avoid the US import duties, since we don't charge Canada any import duties, the same freight had been coming in from China. (Many major chains sourced their inventory this way too). Now, with the call to control border security, they seem to have cracked down on the imports coming in from Canada, from China. Its put a major hurt on many trucking companies who's business was based on this very supply chain which suddenly went away earlier this year. Since March, we've lost dozens of smaller carriers, hot shot haulers, and many larger carriers who were set up to receive and distribute the items coming from the north have either shut down or moved elsewhere. If you look around, there's suddenly a glut of used hotshot rigs, box trucks, and now even step vans and tall vans like Amazon uses. (A number of Amazon carriers have also gone away but they too are private and not part of Amazon, but that game is more or less tax and location driven not import or logistics driven.).

Buddy of mine pulled hot shot loads for about 4 years. Business dried up for him. Loads weren't worth it anymore. Lots of bigger companies with lots of trucks took away from the guys with 1 or 2 trucks.
@@Totes_ma_Goat which is still happening.
Everyone is going out of business. Entire store chains are going bankrupt. Others are cutting way back. We're well into a recession, maybe a depression. Bidenomics. Want to make things better? Don't vote for democrats. Turns out Trump was correct and Harris was completely wrong as usual. They do have people eating pets in Ohio.
1000% as someone who’s been hauling for 15 years, about seven years ago started as an owner operator. I can tell you in the mist of Covid heading to the end of it. There was a record number of people starting trucking companies. The market was getting very saturated and it still is and this year and last year have been a record number of shutdowns with companies, you can look it up, I even seen it all across social media. You had these “gurus“ they were trying to tell everybody how easy it is and promising all the stuff if you gave them money and so many people were buying into that going their own way thinking that you can get $10,000 in a week and, you can make off like a bandit but that’s not how it works at all. There’s a lot of money that goes into these companies to keep these trucks on the road so when that truck has mechanical issues or you’re getting cheap routes, it doesn’t take too long before you start getting into the negative if you, didn’t put your money aside for mechanical issues and thought you could just blow your money because you would make it the next week that business wouldn’t last too long and that’s exactly what they did, even more of these hotshot companies because you didn’t need a class A drivers license most of you don’t even need a class B you could just have a regular drivers license and run these hot shots, so yes you’re 100% right on target
Some of them for RVs not hotshot trailer

Been in a recession by the historical definition. Recently the federal government changed the definition or criteria that indicates recession so they can claim there isnt one.
