In Search Of The Grey OFFICIAL TRAILER (2024)
Official Trailer for IN SEARCH OF THE GREY
When wildlife filmmaker, Remy Tarasin, learns that a wild brumby he once befriended may have been a victim of a sudden wild horse cull, he launches an expedition to find out if he's still alive. Remy and his team travel up into Australia's wild and remote Snowy Mountains in search of the elusive wild horse known to Remy as The Grey. But these mountains are unlike anywhere else in Australia, and the team must endure ice and snow and the expanse of the rugged terrain to try and track down the elusive grey stallion before it's too late.

Except feral horses are inherently ‘free’ already, that’s why they’re feral horses instead of being kept in paddocks where they belong, rather than roaming and destroying Australia’s high country. Thankfully their numbers are being drastically reduced

It is one close to my heart .❤️ I totally understand that feeling of when you sit immersed in their presence and one seeks out to enquire about you. I’ll never forget that muzzle on my head and the breath of her nostrils. Was lucky enough to have a friend capture that moment. That brumby was Scruffy - now you know why how fixated we were to have that mob reunited . Congratulations 🥂 Remy on a truely remarkable vision that you’ve achieved. Wonderful.

Are you actually Australian? Guessing not. Australian’s care about and love, first and foremost, what’s uniquely Australian. Not what harms it, particularly when those things are rare and threatened by other factors (climate change). Yes I’ve camped and tramped in Kozzi and seen the horse damage to riparian vegetation, river banks, the pugging and the muddy river bottoms that result. And I’ve camped and tramped in Alpine NP (VIC) and seen areas of no damage, because VIC governments appreciate what is uniquely Australian, what threatens it, and are adult enough to take responsibility for managing those threats.

Brumies belong to where they are, they are heritage, culture, icon and history to Australia. They are Aussie icon, helping to regain nature after natural disaster and protecting other animal species and humans, without them we have not identity and biologically is impossible to reproduce to thousands. Most important they help to rehabilitate children and adults with physical or intellectual difficulties. They need and have the right to live, we need them as part of our lifes.

The Brumbys would actually HELP to fertilise the soil and help with regrowth after the devastating wildfires of 2020. Other introduced species are creating havoc with the environment - however - government spruiking of 1,000's of Brumbies is SO INCORRECT and no matter...NO ANIMAL should be slaughtered/murdered by bullets from so called trained marksmen from helicopters or planes. NEEDLESS SENSELESS MURDER. Peace..let the brumbies live.

YOU also need to do some REAL research - David Bermans 2023 research concluded that horse impact is very minor % of the collective damage of humans, pigs, deer and horses, you might also discover that large herbivores such as horses and burros, along with Apex predators are now being reintroduced to restore the ecosystems they were once removed from. Catch up - the world is evolving!
