Why everyone is saying Samurai Shampoo?
Fat, nujabes, tsutchi, force of nature. That era they were the first couple of people to create lofi hip hop. And put it into an anime. Me personally I like samurai champion more because the music was so chill I watched one ep every night high as balls, enjoying every bit because outa know where the music was super deep and psychedelic. I’m pretty late with there music but it’s been 3 years and since, there’s not a day I wouldn’t listen to them. I personally like fat Jon more, because every song and name of his fits the exact meaning of the word of his song and his music turns into you. Every single has character and story into with just sound. He’s deep with his hip hop beats. Nujabes is very instrumental with his beats which he’s most famous for. He’s really good and has some deep hip hop beats as well and instrumental rap. Tsutchi samurai champloo album was amazing. You just gotta def gotta discover there music. On my RUclips profile I have music playlist including all my favorite fat Jon nujabes and all them in one playlist so there a start for that

Someone also made a point that Satoshi Kon’s Perfect Blue was included in Meg’s MV. If that’s the case, that’s another layer of symbolism. Especially one of the many points of that film was discussing the horrors of the entertainment industry.
So there was a version I made where I was going to make that connection. But I couldn’t make sense of it for some reason
