Been a bricky for 30 years myself.portland cement is for below ground.masonary for above ground.sorry to say the speed your going it will take you a bricklayer apprenticeship to finish that 😂
The guy is a fairy 😂 he would be gone before the first break, what a wally ! ……… I’ve had 40 yrs On the line , he would just about make it on the hod …… nah ! He’s not that good
Dude this is some seriously skillful tuckpointing and striking all in one. You truly save so much more on the cleanup, and even getting rid of the need to come back with a barrel striker. What I’m curious about is pop-outs if you don’t tuck the mortar into the joints fully so that it “seats” properly?
It looks like the old mortar was removed by hammer and chisel……. And not a grinder …..Was that the case ? ? And as you know your job came out awesome with no smearing on the vertical joints…….” Nothing on the brick “ great job
I’m serious man tearing that apart and putting it back together especially In the city can be a nightmare and y’all did an ace job. I been checking out your pointing videos your a beast!!! I’m currently building a stone wall but will be doing a bunch of stone pointing on a job in west Chester pa. I’ll let you know when I get some pointing videos up. Hope all is well bro much respect.
@@francissciarrillo8691 hey brother thanks for subscribing and that’s a good move I bet it’s nice down there. Philly gets crazier all the time but I’m sure you know that. You got a lot of skills bro. I’ll definitely be doing some pointing videos in the near future it’s my favorite type of work in the masonry trade
It took about 2 minutes to point of one brick. And without taking into account, remove the mortar, wash the wall and prepare the mortar. Simple maths: A wall 3 meters by 6 meters has approximately 900 bricks. 900 bricks multiplied by 2 minutes is 30 hours or almost 4 full working days!!! What employer would keep such an employee? What can he earn? Or is it just a hobby?
Wow, I'm surprised I haven't seen this before now. I think it's legit. Sometimes we just have to understand and know that the Divine Powers have everything in check.
ten years later: "so, my work is done"!
Pancake your mortar on the hawk!
Portland 2:1? too hard!
Beautiful job on a beautiful building
Actually one of the first video's I've seen someone not smear the bricks all over, and showing that neat work simply costs time. Thanks.
Enjoyed the video. Liked and subscribed to your channel. Keep up the great work out there and tight lines
lol this is the tistic way of working on your gun. It’s a barrel issue, what the hell are you doing? 😂

Just because you are above “ eye level” doesn’t mean you should skimp on the finish …. Your conscience is clear my friend , keep up the good work 👍🏼😬
i do it with a mason bag and finish with the tool much faster in my opinion
@@eduardoherrera4894 of course it is but you can’t do butter joints with a bag. like I said this is how to video
Can't you just hold flat plate upto and put it in? Like the art of choreography
When did this happen?
@@aliciamarie9704 I think it was the last Wednesday

@@DobermanDave531 would love to see some of your videos plus it’s a how to video you don’t teach somebody how to drive going to 120 miles an hour
Portland 2:1 ? Far too strong a mix if that's a building sand/cement mix.
You didn’t want to show how you did it?

I hope thats really weak portland if that is what you are using.
I thought NHL was the only material used on that type of building?
Looks like it’s bedtime for Francis.
Hey man nice color matching, can you share how did you mixed this mortar ?
It’s been a long time my friend I think I just used white sand and White die
Portals opens up at 333
They almost painted it green, but the homeowner said black
I liked it green 💔
Wow. I loved the green. It’s interesting how people’s tastes and visions differ so much. The green even matched the door glass and nature. Oh well.
It would’ve looked better a darker green
I was expecting something creative. It’s literally still just a slab of wood!
That view is beautiful
Thank you so much😊
🥰🙂💙😅
🥰 wow, how im the world..
Mate hold your board against the wall. and you will be 20x faster 💰
That's like 200$ in wood
I promise you it is not
How??
We just buy a bundle of the wood 15 pieces for 15 bucks but two bundles painted them, then put it up

Perps always first then horizontal or beds and always damp your bricks
2:1 mix seems very strong to me .?
