I visit stations across the UK that not many people do.
I also do other videos for personal pride.
No racism, no sexism, no politics, just railway banter.

Its all my fault hes there Sorry :)
I have been to Hell in Norway but not Hel in Poland. "I went through Hell" in my case it is near Trondheim.
Ha I spotted that on a map when I was Ålesund last week! Excellent!! 😂
Not selfish youve got your own window ya weirdo.
😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂
The reason for the additional service is..... Because they can! It's railway logic Elgan..😁 Good to see you.. I'll watch a few more of these. Annan (my local station) is like Euston compared to Thorpe Culvert!
That's very true! We should know better than this 😂 Thank you! Plenty more in the pipeline, gets me out of the house 😂 I need to do some more 🏴 stations! Plenty of them up the far north
I'm so glad you are back doing Piddly station Elgan, I do love this series and your such a good orator when you are at them giving great information. I will now go back a watch the other 2 I have missed, thanks to RUclips not telling me you had done them.
Thank you so much for the kind words! I appreciate it. I love just getting out of the house and going to places I never imagined I'd visit. Never thought I'd be in Thorpe Culvert on a Friday morning when I started this!
8:05 I knew I recognised where this is!
Haha! Its synonymous on railway RUclips
There's 3 units that LNWR have gained from Northern, 150141 being the third unit alongside 139 and 137, though it's two units of the three that form the hourly service along the line
Indeed! I clocked the 3rd after I did the footage 😂😂
❤
😂EGT BA
😂
❤😅da iawn eto
Did you not see the huge height difference between the train and the platform surface. Too steep for a wheelchair ramp as well. Is there not a service to coombe any more on that line from paddington. Incidentally the mill behind you at Shipton is where Clarksons grains are ground to help make his hawkstone lager.
I didn't although I noticed the one heck of a drop on the Worcester side when I got off! No not anymore, only goes to Didcot or Moreton! Not sure when it changed And that's a very fun fact about Clarkson's Grains! I wanted to visit the farm but it doesn't open on the days I was in the area sadly
@@VisitingPiddlyStations i used to be a train manager on that line, and i always believed it was an insurance claim waiting to happen. I always warned the passengers before arriving there about the drop between the coach and the platform! Great video! Looking forward to some more. Try Menheniot , as a contender, served by a couple of direct Paddington to Penzance trains
Loved your video, thank you, Elgan.
Thank you for your kind words!
Keep up the good work with these vids Elgan.. they really make me smile
Thank you. I appreciate your words
Were you shit faced the whole time doing this video pal ? 😁
Keep em coming buddy x
Thanks Al. Means a lot 😍
Is Finstock not piddlier? (Whether it has more passengers or not?)
You are right! It is. But, you can't get to or from London to Finstock anymore. 😂
Brilliant video mate really enjoyed that 😀
Appreciate it mate!

That is correct! 😂

Broken hearted this morning
Missing in action?
Still here!
@@VisitingPiddlyStations just missing on x
Yeah that place is a cesspit at the moment. Better to be away from it for my mental health
Nice graphics! I've not flightsimmed in a long while myself and last time I did it, it was the mobile sim Infinite flight, visiting every capital city in the world in a TBM 850.
Superb idea. My PC is pushing it a bit now but seems to cope OK with MSFS
A great video as per usual, I missed it when it was released as I've been busy with trips away! Beautiful scenery also, there's a nice pub in Newhey near the reservoir's, albeit it's Stage 10, not long after you start mind! I know it from the end of a hike with a hiking group a few months ago when we did a circular of the reservoirs there. Your video and Geowizard's straight line mission videos are giving me the drive to get back out hiking properly again as my back is well on the mend, I'll be sticking to some local I think they're called 'mental health green routes' promoted by Manchester City Council that I seen on a board near me at Chorlton Ees nature reserve to build up my hiking stamina 👍
Thank you for your kind words. Walking is sometimes what makes me happy so I highly recommend people to get out there and do it
Hi mate Have u ditched X ? Can't see your content of recent
Just for now mate. Done wonder for my mental health 👍
@elganthomas k brother... I ditched f book years ago , incognito on X and mute those that annoy lol
Got better weather than I did.. couldn't see 50 yards over Millstone Edge. Looks like you had a great day.
Next stage for me - hoping to complete a few stages at the end of July and may get ahead of you. Great video, thanks for sharing.
A brilliant little video as always. definitely making me want to be back up and in the peninnes
Thank you! After the last stage I didn't expect much but it still was special
@@VisitingPiddlyStations from what I remember there's some beautiful bits above Rochdale near the moors and if the walk goes near ramsbottom then equally nice there (and some great pubs)
Nice to have a bit of variation in videos, allows you to gain a new group of followers.
0:38 that’s not connecting I didn’t hear the clicking sound
Today the 153s are no longer working with the Stourbridge branch services
Nice video - this is as far as I have made it and the best leg so far. Need to get back up North soon!
Thank you!
It's my favourite stage too, but you definitely need a clear day to do it. I did Stage 9 last Saturday but the weather was horrible. Will have to revisit that one. Stage 10 on Sat 11/5
Absolutely you do. Especially up on the moors as there's simply no shelter from the weather!
It's so picturesque! I'm looking forward to doing this eventually. I've had to put a pause to hiking the GM Ringway as I've done my back in, so I'm having to build up the stamina and strength in my back and legs again!
Ahh no?! Look after yourself. The GM Ringway will wait! 😂
This may well be the best sections on the entire of the Ringway. It's interesting to see different parts around Greenfield too
It got better and better the further I got. Well worth it
It's 174 years old this year - happy birthday once more to Denton Station, there's loads of history here if you know where to look for it 😄.
I will have to go back to record a new episode now it is the Piddliest Station in the country!! -!
For a challenge, get off the train at Upper Tyndrum, run like hell and try to reach Tyndrum Lower before the train. If you don't make it you'll be in for a long wait for the next one.
That would be easy....running from lower to upper? Now that would be hard!!! haha
Keep up the great videos m8
Cheers Our A
Great video once again
Cheers! Appreciate it
Funnily enough, I was just up in the Highlands on vacation earlier this week and passed by one of those stations on the way
Fantastic! It's a wonderful part of the world which have plenty more Piddly Stations to explore!
@@VisitingPiddlyStations One example of them I visited was Lochailort and also Banavie which is where the B&B I stayed in is located
Ah brilliant. Two great Stations with Banavie the home of the line's signalling
