Not sure if this helps or not, but I too am a hummingbird enthusiast. I have feeders out and make the solutions myself as well. I had to think long and hard about what was best for the hummingbirds, since I have a cat and she brings other cats to yard as well which means I have 3-5 cats roaming around my duplex simultaneously. I keep the feeders at high points around my duplex hanging straight from the window panes where the cats can’t jump at all. I also choose not to have a hummingbird bath or any nesting boxes/hanging huts because I would rather encourage the hummingbirds to build their nests more out into the woodland behind my yard, higher up in trees, rather than in my yard lower than what they’d normally build it height wise. I would hate for the hummingbirds to constantly be disturbed by the cats or the other people/kids that happen to walk around here sometimes, so I intentionally set it up to encourage them to build their nests in a safer spot but can still come by to get nectar relatively close.

I was in the Indiana jones today and I heard like idk some parrots but I realized it was fake after hearing a dam cricket and some other weird sounds. But I swear, I felt like there’s parrots bc there’s parrots on Anaheim.

Hi, im in the UK, once saw three crows mobbing a fully grown Tawny owl. Think crows will mob any bird of prey to try to bully and intimidate the BOP.

I live in Las Vegas and I did the same thing! It’s very rewarding! I ended up with kangaroo rats sidewinder snakes, stuff at night I’m not even sure what it is! I even set up a 5 gallon bucket with a drip system to keep it full. Once you supply them water it’s a good idea to keep it fresh and safe if anybody’s gonna try it. It becomes a responsibility.
