good film
This is the prequel to 1883,1923, and yellowstone
Dựng phim vớ vẩn thật mẹ bố khỉ sử dụng súng chuyên nghiệp ở Texas hoa Kỳ mà chủ động cuối cùng thành bị động ngoài đời làm gì có chuyện đó vớ vẩn
Such a heartbreaking story. Genocide is the most evil thing ever.
Great realistic gunfight
He tries to avoid the conflict so many times and you can see the exact moment, when they ignore the presidents order,he nods and makes the decision to kill them. One of Bales best performances
The good old reliable 11 shot revolver.
I hated this scene. All the natives except the kid get killed.
So the enemy can't shoot for shit? But when they aim at the women they're all of a sudden expert marksman? Hahaha
😢😢
ANGLOS haciendo cosas de ANGLOS... 🤮
All he had to do was let them bury their dead and be on their way. Instead he decided to end his bloodline.
Christian bale is incredible here
" natives have no rights" FUCK America
This and Unforgiven are two of favorites.
I like the scene BUT there were 4 or 5 farmers and then they shot 4 and it seemed that there were another 6 they still had to kill. Doesn't seem right. They should have had all those riders right from the start. this scene lasted too long for people that had their guns ready.
Stupid child got her mom(?) killed 🤡
TOM HANKS - IS THE GREAT ACTOR !!!
This film is purely fictional; it doesn't even qualify as historical fiction. The story takes place in 1892. In 1892, there were no hostile Indians. By 1892, the western frontier had ended, the way of life for the Plains Indian was over, there wasn't anymore buffalo, and any surviving Native tribes were all on Indian Reservations. The story would have been better, it would have made more sense, if it was set in the 1870's, but he filmmakers/screenwriters fugged it all up.
Bale has come a LONG way since starring in 'Empire of the Sun', which was a phenomenal performance in itself despite him being so young.
R.I.P Scott Wilson
Their mistake was giving Joseph and Rosalee enough time to draw their guns. You don't do that...
His land????? "Woe-man..." Cyrus gets it the worst of all! Good riddance.
Scott Wilson was great as Cyrus. Wilson passed away in 2018 shortly after Hostiles was released in 2017. He had an outstanding film career as one of the finest character actors in the business starting in 1967. One of his best roles was a Hershel Greene in The Walking Dead AMC series.
A scene with stupid people. Written by a stupid script writer. The four riders where clearly a menace. A life menace. You don't stay in the open, like sitting ducks, knowing it's possible to start a shootout soon. Unless you are retard or very very stupid. More, you let the women exposed, instead of getting them first in a shelter from the buletts... The indian guy and the friend who's got shut right from the begining... Only becouse they were exposed. Where they so dumb? Seriously? So idiots can be the men in Wild West? No, just the script is written by a idiot.
Those hillbillies done pissed off the grim reaper
I guess she ran out of Dead Eye and couldn't get the headshot in time.
Natives ain't got no rights...sounds like the orange guy 😂😂😂
Makes you think whether the actual robber barons where this psycho and venal. They probably were. When you read about the Lincoln County War, basis for Young Guns, and other stories of that period, it is very plausible that you would cross someone as gangster and irrational as this good old boy as some point. Talk about power madness. Just let a few corpses occupy a few square meters of your vast ranch. Hell no! I got a point to prove. Carnage ensues.
Feel bad for all the soldiers sent to get the chief home.
Hershel after Shane gave a truth is a savage 😅
Freaking awesome movie 🎬!
I agree with the landowner
"You won't shoot." *"Well now I have to, smartass. Good job."*
It’s amazing how some people think that just because they own something, that gives them permission to break the law.
Freaking everyone dies in this movie, like a red-shirts worst nightmare come true. 😂😂
Underrated and terrific
In modern parlance we still have examples of selfish ranchers claiming rights in defiance of the government. And we still have people settling issues with guns, which Bale’s character sought to avoid. When people take the rule of law into their own hands out of spiteful visions of “property” or neighborhood or turf, it’s tribalism. Which is what that Old Fuck threatening that family failed to understand. His “boys” were a tribe too, as were the Cheyanne for eons, and his abusive ways got them all killed. When you hear one man claiming he knows and owns everything, he’s the one in the wrong. (Trump)
Dumb latter-day self-righteous CRT films they try to call "Westerns."
If he'd just kept his mouth shut and let the Cheyenne be buried in his sacred place, he and his heirs could have enjoyed that land for generations to come. Instead, his hate and pettiness got his dumb ass and all his sons killed. And those bastards took the time while being shot at to target the unarmed women and children instead of shooting the people with guns (mainly). Morons.
well that kinda went to shit. 'least Cyrus is bleeding on the grass tho.
Not up to Yellowstone standards, not by a long shot...
"What are you gonna do, stab me?" -a man who was stabbed
Cyrus was right though. Gtfo my land.
All they had to do was get off the mans property.....they were fully at fault.
You wanna throw up? And be sick to your fucking stomach? Watch this and “the free state of jones”
White Europeans have caused so much badness in the World
Not sure if pistols in those days had that sort of range for that long range shot. Were they rifled back then.
I keep coming back to this scene time and again for some reason. I think it's mainly the dialogue and the excellent performance of all the actors involved. Hostiles is quite possibly one of the greatest westerns ever made and it deserves more recognition. Much like American History X, the overarching theme in this film is that life is too short to hang on to hatred. I could go on, but I don't want this comment to drag on longer than it needs to.
