The presentation is good, however some of the facts are off by just a bit. That is an easy mistake to make due to the fact that there has been no replacement for the 88mm FLAK. The vertical elevation is Elevation −3° to +85° this is what lead to its use and deployment as an anti tank, anti personal, anti emplacement, and artillery, as well as its original use as an anti aircraft weapon.
Your "component 1" of the "pivot system" is incorrect, those are long anchoring stakes that would go through the legs into the ground. You don't show them going through the leg.
It's a good sytem with decent accuracy and rate of fire but what the flak 88 lacks is power. The burst radius is only about 8=10 metres which means the shell has to land pretty much within a b-17 or b-24's wing length away in order to do any significant damage. Compare this to the american 127mm dual purpose gun which has a burst radius of 25 metres allows alot more room for error if you miss while still retaining more or less the same rate of fire and accuracy characteristics, Having a burst radius of 25 metres vs 10 metres may only be 2.5* wider but that it covers 15 times the volume in the sky allowing for a far more effective gun overall, essentially putting more lethal space in the sky allows for a greater chance of hitting, If you throw enough shit at a wall eventually some of it is going to stick.
Well, it fires a much bigger shell. It is only natural that it has a better burst radius. What you need to do is to compare it with the 128 mm Flak 40.
The 127mm DP (like the 128 mm Flak 40) is probably too heavy for any of the available self propelled platforms of the day. Besides, some of the examples you mention (tanks) were used exclusively to engage ground targets. Nexus is talking about the effectiveness of the weapon as an AA system.
Why didnt you name any of the "components"... I mean 99 percent of the work is just making a 3D model, why not take the extra step to actually name the parts?
What a weird yt channel
Tres interressant
Yeah this is horribly inaccurate
That's flak 40, not flak 88!
Why is an American soldier using the flak? It should be a German soldier.
Thats not how the breech works ...
That is not a 8.8 centimeters. Flak 38. It's not even close. There are only thousands of pictures.
Lonela Lungu documentary on guns be like: Component 1 Component 2 Component 3
I forgot about component 4
Barrel and support length looks all wrong ,shells length also wrong . Just look at a photo.
Awesome
Not an 88. You got your ideas comrade from Russian 85mm and 100mm anti air craft guns, which btw were modified copies for the German 88.
Completely Inaccurate!.... Call it something else, but NOT Flak 88...
superb engineering
Where can i buy component 1... wait... fuck
All is component :))) Creativ
component 1, 2 daaã name the peaces dumb
The little gun that could
sehr gut
The breech is incorect
แจ๊วดีจัง นะ นะจ๊ะ

Lovely

Ok, but did they place the gun in tanks, halftracks or on U-boats? Because they did with the 88 and it was effective.

The 88 lacks a sufficient proximity charge like the 127 DP.
Nize. Ai men NAZI 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂💩
absolutely gorgeous!

Now do a B-24 Liberator and then shoot it
LCdrDerr
clap clap clap
Is there any way I could get my hands on the .obj?
