Alaska, Russia took Northern Asian lands loong ago, Siberia etc.. Alaska was included. During WWII Russia was facing an invasion from the Nazi's, so they sold the land to USA for $7million dollars to fund their war with Germany. So i'm pretty certain, Alaska is much better off being a state of USA than a Russian one, or independent for that matter. Remember, how many people are risking their lives daily to get into USA. It benefits everybody there, and the rest of USA having Alaska as a state. This same thing goes with territories, under any colonizer, it's much more beneficial to them, if it wasn't, they'd want out, and they'd be vocal about it! (East Timor wanting out from Indonesia for example) The Falklands off the coast of Argentina are under British rule, but they've recently voted to remain. So as evil as it all sounds, it's actually the best option for the territories. Until it's not anymore, then they'll make themselves heard!
Hi, thank you for watching the video and taking the time to comment. That is a great point you bring up, that if countries wanted out, they would say something. Although I think being a territory of the United States may benefit them in a lot of ways, I just think it’s a little weird we give billions of dollars to other countries that are not a part of the United States at all, while lots of people on U.S. land are still struggling. I think the limbo “territory” treatment should be resolved by either giving them the dignity of statehood and voting rights, or helping them without being a part of the U.S.
@@mayo_mix Oh you're welcome. I'm actually suprised it was on my youtube homepage, Usually it's video's with a lot of views! We have similar situations here in the pacific, I'm in New Zealand, there are a few small countries under 'nz rule' sorta thing, territories. Cook Islands, Nuie etc, they have free visa entry to here. We fund them. I don't know why, but it's most likely because... they need the help. Samoa used to be but they voted independance. American Samoa stayed with USA though, its a similar situation. I feel if they wanted out they would have done what Samoa did and left. And I think about Greenland, how it's Denmark. But they are nothing like Denmark. And it's part of North America, but, Danish rule. They are probably far better off under Danish rule,otherwise it wouldn't make any sense, and for Denmark, they're probably profiting off resources. It benefits both, even though it seems stupid on the surface.

This is part of Beyoncé’s 3- act project reclaiming Black founded genres, and since she has released these 2 songs and announced her country music black female country artist’s music have seen an incline. (Which was the goal) Beyoncé was also born and raised in Houston Texas and has had Country influence her entire life. She has done country music before and has been disrespected for it. She’s never stuck to one genre ever either.
If she is increasing the popularity of black female country artists, I respect that. I just think it would be remiss for people to think Beyoncé is the savior of black female country music, especially after she has gotten popular after years of producing songs in genres that are more palatable to the mainstream than country. Kind of like how Laufey was thought of as bringing jazz back to young people and “saving” it, when there are other, more strictly jazz artists, who have been putting out good jazz music. Especially considering jazz was created by Black people, Esperanza Spalding beat both Drake and Justin Bieber for Best New Artist at the Grammy awards that year, for people to now say that Laufey is saving jazz, even though she’s technically more traditional pop.
