What’s the max moisture rating you could have with copper coat? My Merlin had some osmosis but I have treated but I’m unsure if I should coppercoat in case I seal moisture in the thehull.

I wonder why no thinner is mentioned in the video. Referring to actual application documents a small amount of Isopropanol thinner should be used when mixing the product.

After the coating has cured, do I need to sand it to expose the copper? This is not shown in the video...

Once painted, is there any max time limit for the initial burnishing? I'm planning on painting the copper coat and leaving her sit for approximately 4 weeks prior to painting the support areas.

the application is a very hard job and expensive. is it possible to blast the copperpowder on the hull after it is painted with epoxy? i have tried it on a piece of wood painted whit polyester . and it looks good. i mean the copper haftet on the outside and that is the most importent thing.

Plus, (from way back in the memory banks), you can't let a steel hull get eaten away by anything, as the steel will actually become thinner as it wears away....and they have a way to measure that kinda thing, eh what ?

I didn't think you can put coppercoat onto steel hull?

no mention of applying over epoxy barrier coat?

Hi Guy's, I am into a big osmoses repair on my 33f sailboat. I am down to the fibreglass all Gelcoat is gone. What would be your recommendation to build up again before applying CopperCoat? Thank's

Don't believe the pot life or thinning amounts. Get two people minimum to roll out 1 litre as fast as they can. Thin it to the maximum, don't skimp here it will bite you hard. Then it will be ride on. If you listen to their advice about 3 capfuls you will end up with a lumpy pile of shit that will be mostly sanded off.... If they say you need 7 litres, buy 9! You will not get 5 coats only 4 maximum but to be honest I only got 3! See below

Had it for over 10 years on yacht in marina, The original was still going strong after the 10 years with minimum maitenance each spring . Fouling was just a slime and often less than other , similar yachts with traditional antifoulings. Brilliant stuff.

The quality of this video does not reflect well the quality of coppercoat (an excellent long life anti-foul coating). Try landscape and decent lighting next time . . .
