Music to my ears.
This thing rips a$$
This has a lot of top end power haha. Nice!!!
Imagine just slicks added that acceleration would be like 3 seconds probably
a beautiful beast
guesstimating around 5 seconds to 60, feels like 4th would have been around 105-110, prob could have touched 90 before 3rd, don't blame you if you're soft shifting to not break anything
a 1966 with the 425 HP 427, and M21 with 3:55 posi, is what I'd want when I have the cash to buy/build one
real muscle, muscular acceleration
Twin turbo v8 AND an electric motor? Thats crazy
Yes
3 things will happen: Either I get wrecked, Either I get a ticket or Either my heart will explode.
My dad had a '66 427. Some asshat ran a red light and hit the passenger side of the car turning it into a pretzel. I wish we still had that one.
Oh sorry 😔
That’s pure Rall muscle right there, nothing compared to the modern computerized six point twos of these days
The way it should…
That thing is faster than some nowadays "muscle cars"
What kind of decibels did it get to? My 516 Corvette is ungodly loud, but never tried a decibel meter.
I don't remember but to much
@waveguerilla When I used to drive my Corvette and we would go to a late night car meet everyone would be standing by the street waiting for us to get there because they heard us a couple of miles out haha.
Modern v8's don't sound nearly as good
Know the feeling. Owned one.
Gotta love the mechanical tach!
Shame the guy can't shift. Probably not a Rock Crusher anyway...to quiet.
"luuul" i remeber my firest car
True muscle car power
LOVE THIS!! That's what performance should sound like!! That made my heart race without being anywhere near the car!
Just suggesting mickey thompson et street r or ss so you can launch at a higher rpm and minimize spin/hop. Probably be low 4s, high 3s.
I have a 65 just a 350 Ermine and saddle. You gotta love the old tachometer on how they bounce like that!
Still.......Enjoy it!
I've had many cable-operated speedometers and tachs in my life, on both cars and motorcycles, they didn't "bounce" like that. The tach shown in this video is absolutely useless to the driver. That's not a feature... it's a bug.
Man that engine sounds awesome. Is it a 327 or 427?
427 with magnaflow exhaust
Beautiful dash
Those graphics are awesome 😎. What game is this?
🤣
...meh ...
With a 58 year old car, the tach problem could be in the distributor drive or cable, and the instrument could use some lovin as well. They couldn’t have been as vague as that when new, nobody would have accepted it.
It's amazing how fast the speedo will move on a car with incorrect speedo gears in the trans...
Your just upset it can beat whatever peice of shit your driving
WOW, 0-60 !!!
Always loved the old school Vette's dashboard.
Ah the days of the good old fashioned big block V-8 engine and no traction control so that those rear tires screech during acceleration.
There's no replacement for displacement.
Yes !
Absolutely love the cable driven tach bounce!!! Definitely old school !!!
I love an old school tach!
He was bein gentile on that. Still was great though
short shifting

The sound of freedom!
This car must have a cruising rear end like 3:50 since it goes from zero to over 60mph is first gear. My 66' 427 450 had 4:11 gear which was great for racing but made it impossible to cruise on the interstate.
Nope ;)
Coming from the idiot who probably doesn't even own a matchbox Corvette 😂🤡

I don't believe a damn thing that tach says.
You can only trust your hears and sensations
That tach would make me nervous.
that not on it, and a granny shift , the car is faster that that
@@GlassTopRX7 sorry no way ! that tachometer is all over the place far from accurate and he is not on that car
Well there is no way it hit 60mph in 1st with 3.77 gears either. Not sure that was possible with any factory setup.@@tonyscreations7904
Music to my ears.
I laughed when I saw the decibel meter start floating around 😂😂
You guys can keep your EV's. This is a REAL car!
because it makes a lot of noise while accelerating slower? That was/is a fun fast car but: The cars I drove a lot as a teenager were my own Nova SS 350, my buds 400ci GTO , and another buds 65 mustang that I helped swap out the 289 for a 351 Cleveland out of a wrecked 71 Mach 1. My EV is a would beat any of those cars in any type of race-- in near silence ( and most likely the one in this video) and then my wife straps in the kids and heads to Wal Mart. When it took any of these old muscle cars over a hundred (yea I was stupid) it was all I could do to keep in my lane. A few weeks ago i was passing a line of cars in a passing lane that was ending. I put my foot to the floor for about 5-10 seconds and when i pulled in and looked down at my speedo I was at 105. Just silky smoothness , stable, quietness.
rent fucking free
@@Rational_thinker_212 there's a couple races your EV would not win . Anything long distance, and the race of time. Race the Vette in another 60 years and I'll be impressed.
agreed it is easier to make a bigger gas tank than a bigger battery, at least with current technology. But as for the 60 year challenge: with a new battery every decade or so, the electric motor and sealed, no clutch, one speed gearbox should last longer and put out more miles between rebuilds than a v8 and multi speed drive train with hundreds of moving wearing parts.
@@Rational_thinker_212 thanks for the polite reply. I agree with some of those points and see the benefits of electric power. I'm a huge RC fan and it's come a long way. Most of the debate seems to come from the "spirit" of the car. Personality maybe? Both have their place but my caveman brain responds happily to the sound and smell of the old cars and tractors. Some day they will be all gone and it'll be sad for some, fine for others. Take care and be safe either way.
Of course a 1967 Corvette is a C2 but why not just say " it is a 1967".
That tach needle!🤣
Thinking the same thing!!!😂
It's so accurate and precise!
There was a world before automotive electronics and yet somehow...shit worked
@@bbb462cid I don't miss points and carburetors.
@@HalfCrazy520 That's a great story and nice job making this about you, but I said they worked, not that they were the automotive pinnacle of achievement.
