Yes she don't "own" the moves, but we human have conscience to think "maybe hoyo did inspired by her moves", especially her hand movements. Hoyo was aware of it for a while, that's why they didn't show her idle in the livestream. They eventually changed it to avoid another unecessary drama, especially after the skin tone thing.

By using their video as reference without consent which let's be real it is the most close reference to xilonen's leaked idle animation, can hold HYV to legal troubles, considering they are making money by using her as a reference w/o her consent it's basically 1:1 despite being a "common dance move" just by using the video without consent well, the law would not be in your favor. Which is why genshin changed it last minute lol, this is one of the few times they ever changed idle animations post cbt stop with the "it's because it's beta there are changes" delusional.

If Hoyo actually scanned (digitally) her video, and reproduced the character movements in Genshin, she *might* have a case, but even then doubtful. If they "watched" her video, and manually recreated the movements in Genshin, I'd say she has absolutely no case. In early World of WarCraft, Blizzard used dance moves from movies/internet videos for their /dance animations (different for each race in the game) that were basically a 1 for 1, and as far as I know none of those people sued or were able to sue for it. If things worked that way then every person who ever did the Moonwalk on camera or in a game would be sued. (Boothill from Honkai Star Rail, another Hoyoverse game, does several Michael Jackson dance steps in his character trailer)

The movement was done by an actual human with motion tracking/capture. Kinda like how Dawei did Ayaka's dance. Anyway, she still doesn't have a case because she doesn't own these moves. Also, if you look side by side, they're not exactly the same especially the beginning of it and how the arms move.

This won’t go anywhere, you can’t own a dance movement, plus this dance was like posted in 2000, it’s like someone suing everyone for copying that person for walking which suddenly all of us will have have to pay that individual. Even if she tries to take legal steps, Hoyo can easily defend themselves through so many reasonings, like they had hired professional motion detector actors, or she already claimed “I don’t own the move”. 😅

SHUT UP, SHE CAN PROVE MIHOYO COPIES PEOPLE ONLINE. Mihoyo is KNOWN to copy-paste movements of videos available online. One of the Globins group dances in the game, Mihoyo leaked a video they were copying a tribe in Africa... I'm not joking. Every company hires actors to perform these things, Mihoyo gets it online for free.

I just wanna say that the only way for her to have a solid case would be to patent those moves in as many countries as she can, then sue Mihoyo for damages if/when the patents are approved. But then again, there's no chance those dance moves can ever be patented unless she spends ungodly amounts of money to bribe people here and there.
