Maui Cycling Supreme
Просмотров 12928 дней назад
Lori and I ride down Haleakala with Maui Bombers. This amazing ride is their Cycle Supreme Guided Bike Tour. This 30 mile bike ride begins on the side of Haleakala and the first 7 miles is all downhill. The second phase is a 10 mile mixture of friendly rolling uphills and rollercoaster style downhills. The final section is 13 miles all downhill to Paia, followed by some flat road and bike paths...

I travel to Indian Lake, Ohio, U.S.A. during the 2024 Total Eclipse of the Sun. We are in the path of totality and we enjoy the company of family and friends as I take a bike ride around the lake and see first hand the devastation of the March 14, 2024 EF2 tornado. We also cover the most astounding astronomical event of our lives.

Osmo Pocket Test on Dog Walk In February 2020
Great video!!!! Headed there soon and thanks to you just learned about the Guidealong app!!! Super excited to try it out with the fam! Thanks!!
I havenʻt watch the full video yet because I have to go to work, but want to comment now to say "mahalo" for visiting Maui in 2024. Iʻd be back later to comment more.
The black fish at Molokini are called PUKE fish, by locals, for obvious reasons. They eat well out there. Ugh!
Great video. You captured Maui perfectly. I just got back a few months ago and need to go back asap.
I miss Maui as well. Thanks for watching and subscribing.
Best wishes from New Zealand. I am intending to do my first ride which will be around 100 k's but I will stay in a cabin this time. Thanks to your video I am inspired to get started when the days get longer. Thanks and rde safe.
Lovely trip! We just went recently as well. Looks like you had a great time!
We were busy but had to take advantage of being in such a wonderful place.
Well done, your video.
Thank you!
i just started riding in westerville!
Don't worry. Everyone takes too much the first time.
This is great I want to do the same thing some day soon
Thanks for the video man!
Correction: we flew into Denver from Columbus. Confusing as we were in 5 different airports on this trip.
Wow. I’m sure the video did not do that view justice but was still amazing. Thanks for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed it
Very cool! I am a 57 year old woman and I want to start bike touring
Hope to see you on the trail.
Thanks for the video! Did you have to have any 'interactions' with the kids or did you just keep to yourself?
No interactions. They wern't misbehaving but they kept me from falling asleep. The coyotes scared them off.
Great video! Thanks for sharing your adventure. Made me nostalgic. I used to live in the Columbus area in Grove City and my wife and I would ride Camp Chase towards London all the time.
Glad you enjoyed it!
I've been planning the exact same trip (Columbus to London) as a trial run. If I feel up to it, I might push another 30 miles to Yellow Spring. We'll see how it goes. What tent did you use?
Good luck, its not a bad ride. In London the camping is good and make sure to contact the local police to get the bathroom lock code. See the bord at the picnic shelter. I bought the cheap BISINNA 2/4 Person Camping Tent Lightweight Backpacking Tent.
Thanks for the great video, I understand the nervousness but great job to push through it and complete the trip! Add another accomplishment to your resume!
Thanks! Will do!
The majority of the Columbus area is geofenced. I’m less than 5 miles from the airport. I’d have to travel 30 minutes to fly a drone.
Yes, I live close to CMH, but I was an hour outside of Columbus. Too close to other airports. I believe there is a way to get clearance for under 200 feet but haven't sorted that out yet.
Hello Andrew and thank you for your video. As a teen I camped out in the bush of Alaska under a tarp lean-to and was scared shitless. Subsequent trips were less fearful. Keep up and thanks for the video.
Camping in London, Ohio is a far cry from camping in the bush in Alaska. Thanks for watching the encouragement to do bigger things.
I loved seeing this. It was nice to see how honest you were about being a bit anxious, and yet you did it anyway! Nice.
Thanks for the kind words.
That’s a beautiful trail system , so lucky to have that in your area. And Casey’s an even bigger plus 😜. Nice video Andrew Ryan
Thank you! Yes, we are fortunate to have wonderful trails in Ohio. I have a lot more to explore. Thanks for watching.
Congrats on your ride!
Thank you! More to come!
Nice little first adventure, keep pedaling my friend.
Thank you, will do!
I had this night my first overnight bike trip. I am 40 and female. Was much of fun. Greetings from Germany.,
That's awesome! Danke!
Almost my exact ride last Monday evening. I'm over in Royal Manor and do that loop when time is a crunch. Perhaps I will see you out there sometime.
thanks for sharing, it was super smooth video and very amazing photage you made, keep it up and greetings all the way back from Morocco
Thank you very much!
Greeting from Switzerland. Well done on your first outing, now that you know how it works, keep it up.
Thanks, will do!
Congratulations. Don't worry it will get easier once you do it a few more times and you'll be more efficient each trip. Doing bike trips will also help you to evaluate your gears, what you'll keep and what you'll upgrade. You'll also carry less things because you'll be sick of being on a heavier bike lol.
Thanks for the tips!
Once you're on the road you'll notice a feeling of freedom. Leaving hesitance behind while accepting you might have forgotten something. Just go. You'll love it.
Yeah, you find out your don't need much. Thanks for watching.
What bike are you riding
Priority 600 www.prioritybicycles.com/products/the600
Loved it!
Thank you!
great stuff heading out on my first trip on the 20-04 also feeling bit nervous
Good luck and have fun!
I did it, was really hard but i loved it.
Great capture of “totality” !! I live near Lake Erie and Erie, Pa and we also had an amazing experience.
Thanks, It was amazing!
Incredible video from start to finish. In answer to your question, your video expressed perfectly what you saw. I wasn’t there, but this was certainly the next best thing. You clearly had an amazing experience. Please keep the videos coming.
Awesome, thank you!
Lovely trip and thanks for taking us along for the ride. London is looking a lot smaller and cleaner than I remember (sorry, just British humour). All the best for your RUclips videos😀
And a lot smaller! I’ve been to London UK many times and I never thought it was that dirty. I loved it! Thanks for watching.
Great job!
Thanks!
As we say Andrew, nobody starts out a legend. Everybody has to do a first trip. Looks like you pushed your comfort zone and found your groove. We're all proud of you as we all started out as first timers right there with you. Keep riding, keep learning, and I'll see you Out There on my 600x!
I never want to be a legend. I just want to enjoy the ride. Thanks for watching. See you on the trails.
How far do you ride each time?
I ride from 10 to 35 miles normally. Mostly 20 miles at a time unless I'm touring.
nice video, nice music, nice trip. Wish I could have the time to do what I love like you guys do. But right now I'm surrounded by work.
I say make the time! Thanks for watching.
Well done! More videos please!
More on the way. Thanks for watching.
Nice one... Ride safe always...
Thanks, you too!
No one knows you're nervous but you 😊
True Thanks for watching.
prepping to do my own first ever bike-packing trip in the next few months; it'll be somewhere along the C&O Canal Tow-path
I want to do the GAP?C7O in the fall. Happy trails!
It's like I was there. Good video. It looks like Sydney had fun.
Great job. I remember my first overnighter. Since my first overnighter, I have done others. Mostly 3 day 2 night. I would carry my camping gear. I still do touring. I now live in Washington State. Originally from Madison, Indiana. Most of my overnighters were in southeast Indiana and in Southwest Ohio. In May I will be moving back to Madison with plans to ride the Ohio - Erie route. Riding up to my brother's home in Lorain, Ohio. I can't wait. Maybe I will see you on the trail when I ride through Columbus area? I'm looking forward to your next video.
I plan on doing the OTET this year. Waiting for a week of decent weather. See you out there!
I just did my first overnight bike packing trip too !! I retired last year and spent the fall and winter getting all my gear in order. I drove to Rochester, NY and rode the Erie Canalway trail west and camped at one of the mowed pull off areas (no facilities) along the trail for one night and rode back the next day. I learned I needed to bring ear plugs for next time as the geese there honked all night !! I have camping reservations in early June along Pine Creek Trail in Pennsylvania and will probably do the Armstrong Trail and Redbank Valley Trail in May. Happy Trails !!
The Erie Canal trails look awesome. On my list for the future. Good luck and Happy Trails.
I’m retiring next spring and just looking at others doing the same thing is awesome
Bike touring is addictive, I brought a trunk bag when I rode the trans am, and ended up ditching it so I could load my tent and dry bag horizontally across my rear rack and panniers, I stopped breaking spokes when I did that. Cool vid thanks for bringing us along on your first trip of what I assume will be many!
Wow! Trans Am, not sure I'll ever do that. Impressive. Happy Trails!
@@edtechmusician It was probably the best experience of my life!
Great to start out at a dedicated campsite, next step stealth camping? I remember my first stealthy one, every rustle in the bushes was a potential axe murderer!! Alas, it was just nature doing it's thing. Looking forward to seeing your next one, keep pedaling ;-)
Yes, I hope to get a little more comfortable sleeping in nature. Thanks for the great comment more to come.
What about some ghosts making unnecessary movement or making blood-curdling vibratto cries ?😮 The thought of such stops me from camping alone at night. I am as brave as any other during the day. Any solutions how to get rid of such uneasiness ? Yes, I know I am illogical, but...
So.... A simple out and back for your first. Good start. Thanks for sharing this with us
Yes, a simple one but more to come. My adventures on the Ohio to Erie Trail are not over. Thanks for watching.
