Forging Bar Shoe Blank

Forging a bar shoe for a horse. Shows the process of forging a bar shoe from 3/8" X 3/4" X 14 1/2". This is my process for a everyday shoe to stock the truck or could be made at the horse. Final measurement was about 5" wide X 5" from bar to toe and 3" at the heels. Mark center and 1 1/2" from each heel. Used Iron Mountain forging flux for the weld.

Hello there i normally play with my family streaming, but will keep him in mind. we don't usually have a set drop spot either
What kind of tongs are those? I've seen them used a few times but never seen them made to learn their name. They seem to function like flat jaw tongs but wonder what the purpose of the round jaws and indentions are. My guess is they're something to do with farriers but have no idea what. Always happy to see you at your anvil. Makes me want to get out to mine and film making something (to see my many mistakes since I'm clearly not ready for an audience).
They are a farrier style tong I think those are 3/8" and made by Roy bloom

i made the eye punch and it was a pretty sunny day so the heat looks much colder than it actually was
