I love Trem and look for ways to fit it into my playing. I also love a cranked Black Panel Reverb amp and this song has both! Since the instrumental gets so big, I wanted to use a reverb that could feel like a spring for the main part of the song, but then add the cloud of ambiance to fill out some space when I needed it. I used the JET Revelation Modulated reverb and with the 100ms predelay, it gives the feel of a slapback delay, and the brightness fit my need for springs. If not a Fender Reverb amp, what would you use for this tone?
Спасибо!
You're welcome!
I have one Strat, one Ibanez with humbuckers, and 4 Telecasters. You can play all styles on a Telecaster: Rock, Blues, Country, Jazz, etc.
@@m.vonhollen6673 the Telecaster may be the most versatile electric guitar 👍
We need more fuzz in worship guitar! I have the same guitar in white. Nice sounding pickups when boosted enough.
@@LemonMeIon indeed we do! Those are the cleanest pickups I've heard. Even when boosted they still have a clean feel to them. They are sweet guitars 👍
Tone is huge!!
@@Andrew-ej2rm thank you!
Not a rig question but what is the deck in the background a Dog Town or Powel/Bones or something else love the setting sounds awesome 👏
@@bryonrivera2607 it's a recent run of the Kevin Staab Pirate deck. The original was the last board I bought when I was young. It was stolen and when Kevin ran this one a year or so ago, one of my kids got it for me 👍
That's impressive! Happy for you.@@WorshipGuitarResources
AC-30 all the way there’s a reason it’s used and loved by so many guitarists
@@rigoruiz-JESUSISKING for crisp cleans, I definitely lean toward the AC30 👍
The AC30 is such a versatile amp in the studio as well as in the digital world. It's one of my favorites for clean tones and sounded great for this preset! What is your go-to for clean amp tones?
I tend to prefer playing more overdriven tones so when I have a chance to focus on and dial in a clean, but still dynamic tone, I jump on it! This song was perfect for this! Also, God is always at work, and doing a new thing is kinda His thing 🙌
I love using gear I'm not real familiar with and finding sweet tones! This is a long one but gives you everything you need to learn to make great presets on your own. Let us know if you have any tone secrets you'd like to share. Thanks for hanging out with me 👍
What song is this?
@@pv89820 just a riff I came up with 👍
@@WorshipGuitarResourcesah, ok. Sounds great!
@@pv89820 Thank you so much!
I love that we have access to so much great gear by great developers like Line 6 and so many more! When I make song-specific presets, I try to hear the unique characteristics of the guitar tone to decide which amp and guitar to use. In doing that, I've had a chance to dial in some sweet tones with a wide variety of rigs. This started me on the journey that led to this video. I like digging in and finding combinations that work well together, and these are the first 3 I've landed on. What are your favorite dual amp combinations?
Love this man ❤
@@Thegeorgiafloridaboy I'm glad to hear that!
Aye np keep up the good work on this channel
@ will do 👍
I think ud play really great,, a slide bar n sound like no one else,,, not many bands i hear it but electic piano. Uve got the stuff !!
Thank you so much!
This is a great song to learn slide with. You only use the middle 3 strings, making sour notes hard to hit. Do you take on the slide parts of songs like this or prefer a different approach?
I was surprised by the range of sweet gain this pedal has to offer! Also, the settings for the lead tone were Volume-Noon, Treble-Noon, Gain-3 o'clock, Timbre-1 o'clock, Texture-1 o'clock & the cut switch down. What type of overdrive do you lean toward?
Got a POD Go preset?
@@J4cks0n3 not yet. I'm hoping to get a POD Go in the future. Then I'll be able to make the goods for that too 👍
How do you get it so when you strum there is no sound of each string so you just roll tone all the way off?
That's from a volume pedal. You can also use the volume control on the guitar 👍
Could You make videos on songs like Touch of Heaven, Promises, Good Plans, and along the lines of those, I was checking out your store and there is some that I would definitely use, but my church also does songs likes those and I didn't know if you would mind making videos on those songs. If you can Thank You So Much and God Bless You
@@MelodyLinesMusic you bet! I have Good Plans coming out in the next month or so 👍
I liked the ease of stepping on 1 footswitch for each tone using the Helix, and I also love finding ways to get the versatility I need with the Stomp. Also, this song has some great tones! What are you using for amps? An all-in-one or something like the Stomp?
Right now, I'm running only stomp, so these help a lot!
@ I'm glad to hear that!
Thaaaanks 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
@@isaacfuentes6424 you're welcome 👍
This is a great song and although it has 10 electric guitar tracks, it wasn't hard to find cool parts for a single guitar situation. Also, a perfect Strat tune! Quick Question, do you play rhythm in your church? Would rhythm guitar content be helpful for you? TIA 👍
id like to see more tutorials on how you would play the songs with just one guitar
@@ChristHeals01 That's part of my approach. I try to put all of the relevant lead guitar parts from the tracks into 1 part. In my experience, there's usually an acoustic guitar covering rhythm. I'll look for some of the standout rhythm parts to help the 1 guitar situation fill a bit more space 👍
@@WorshipGuitarResources yeah totally I get most other people have someone playing acoustic guitar but in my case I’m most of the time the only guitar on stage in youth so sometimes it can be a challenge to fill in the right spots
@@ChristHeals01 gotcha! I'll see what I can do to show options for players in your situation 👍
@@WorshipGuitarResources Preciate it!
I have no idea whats happening, but i love the sound 🤘
@@matthiasd9216 oh, it's happening! Thank you so much!
I play a Langejans M-6 mahogany acoustic for the church band. I had a rosewood neck Strat 20 years ago. Sold it. I just recently bought a 50th anniversary Strat. Maple neck/fingerboard. I have a '66 335 and a Heritage 555 (both from Kalamazoo of course). I am really liking my new Strat. It seems to get the most play time.
@@sirwinston2368 you have a great collection! You really can't go wrong with any of them 👍
What are you worshipping?
@@macleod41069 the one true God 👍
@@WorshipGuitarResourcesI worship through the word and a relationship with Jesus, my guitar is a guitar. I would walk right out of any church that had a worship leader with a guitar on.
@@maj1260 🤦♂️
@@TeleCaster66 King David worshiped with dancing and stringed instruments. It's just a tool. The only real value is the intent of the player.
@@TeleCaster66sounds like you are not going to church with a godly heart. Where is the joy? Where is the kindness?
This Strat was my #1 for a looong time! The longer I had it, the more versatility I was able to squeeze out of it! What guitar did you start with?
In with the quickness!
I have a love/hate relationship with ts pedals but always enjoy mythos take on circuits and have had a few other pedals in the past. I got the envy recently and really like it. I like a bit more saturation so I leave both push buttons disengaged L 2 o'clock T 2 o'clock and D 11 o'clock for great rhythm. Great thorough demo, lots of usable settings
@@ROMAN_JON_ROMAN This is my first experience with Mythos and so far I'm impressed! For me, a lot depends on the guitar and how the pedal reacts. I really like it for a tight rhythm tone. It tightens up the lows, and the breakup is just what I want to hear 👍
What inears do you recommend
@@JENKS132 I use the KZ ZSN PRO from Amazon and have been very happy with them 👍. a.co/d/2mzHBbk

I need 8th note click on a song slow like this 😅 good job tho 😊
@@Shepardgs I agree. I've added that since this one 🤣
What tele is that I love the neck. Is it custom shop
@@LakeSuperior090 this one is a 1966 Custom 👍
I really liked the gain anywhere in the range, but the maxed gain with the Clip button disengaged (standard clipping) has SOOO much sustain 😮 If you love Screamers, how do you tend to run it?
I don’t play worship music, but if you want a good clean/classic rock/hard rock preset w/ snapshots I’ve found success w/ blending a litigator (dumble) and mesa mk4. I lean into the litigator on the cleaner snapshots, and let the mesa do the work on the dirtier ones. I save DSP by using the loop to run a modulation and reverb pedal. I’m not a great player and I’m not in a band, but I love that this setup lets me have most of the tones I want within one preset. It also allows me to take them into GarageBand to make backing tracks with the USB Cable, which is really great. I also really like the tape simulation modulation to naturally take some top end off while adding slight mod.
That's very similar to Chris Shiflett's rig. He uses a Vox Fawn for clean and a Friedman for gain. This is definitely something I'll be experimenting with 👍
I'm sorry but use your head
I'll see what I can do
You change the tab screen in the middle of a chord..I say this is not a good tab post
Sometimes you gotta move quick to keep up.
Nice tones with the stock cabs. I've always bought into the hype of needing third-party IRs.
Thank you! I've bought IR's early on but I wanted to see if the stock cabs could compete. I did some A/B tests and was able to get a similar fullness with a bit more focused midrange using the stock cabs.
What’s your take on HX wet effects vs. pedals? I have some pedals that I love, but the convenience of programming wet effects with snapshots in HX is hard to beat.
There are some great effects in the Stomp but I love the tone and feel I get from running stereo amps. Also, the JET Revelation & Eternity are MIDI programmable so I get the same convenience 👍
Soul food is so classic. And this just reminds me I need to try the Jet pedals. Great tones, friend!
@@PatrickMurphy21 I agree! Just the right tones at just the right price. Those JET pedals are so good and I love the size! Small and easy to dial in 👍
I love the overdriven tones you can get from the Matchless amps! Each option has its own feel with increasing gain from Channel 1, Jumped, & Channel 2. Which do you prefer?
Great video. Can you please explain how you connect the expression pedal? I thought there is no way to have 2 foot switches plus an expression
@@guillerg Thank you! I'm using it only as a volume plugged into the left input on the Stomp. It has an internal dip switch that can be set to use as an expression pedal but I haven't tried that yet.
Oooh ok that makes sense. Thanks for the reply 😊
@@guillerg you bet!
My hx stomp never sounded really good until I found this. Thanks man! Have you tried putting real overdrives on this preset? I was looking to get overdrives for this patch
@@toneofworship Thank you so much! I run pedals into the stomp for my Sunday setup. I use a Wampler Euphoria with little to no gain to get a thicker tone and o run a Klon clone and a Tube Screamer clone into that for my crunch and lead tone.
Honestly, I feel like Teles are slept on a bit in worship these days, in comparison to Gretsch and Duesenberg and Veritas and Strats. They still sound great.
@@ryanslauderdale I agree. I prefer the Tele in almost every situation 👍
nice
@@benjamingrognet877 thank you 👍
Love the content!
@@Joe-vc2cc thank you! I'm glad to do it 👍
Good points here. My favorite P&W Les Paul pickup position is middle with the neck volume at 10 and the bridge volume rolled back to 7-8. Also, cheap humbuckers with ceramic magnets are too loud for P&W. Vintage voiced alnico humbuckers are the best Les Paul upgrade one can make for any kind of music IMO. Finally, the big mistake I see in P&W with a Les Paul is too much overdrive. Less is more with a Les Paul.
@@patzguitarz agreed! That middle position is so good! Also, as a product of the 80's, sometimes a bit too much drive is just what I need 🤣
Could you make a video on we crown you?
I'll definitely look into it 👍
@@WorshipGuitarResources thank you!
