Thank you - such an easy fix! I did this on my Yamaha YDP 162 and it resolved the issue. My finger was too big so I shoved a screwdriver in and just pushed the spring at the bottom. Hoping this will resolve the issue permanently!
I had this for two years straight and even took it apart to grease it but nothing helped! This video was an instant fix (although i hurt my finger a bit so be careful you all) thank you so much!!

Hola! Lo he hecho, pero al poco tiempo vuelve a estar igual. Hay algo más que pueda hacer?
Hola! @indychannel9253 Sí a mi también me sucedía en un principio que al cabo de un tiempo el ruido volvía, y cada vez tenía que volver a acomodar el resorte. Hasta que comprendí que estaba presionando demasiado fuerte, aplicaba demasiada fuerza en el pedal, incluso me dolía el pie y me cansaba demasiado 😅 (error de principiante). Así que modifiqué la configuración del pedal en el menú para que sea más sensible con un mínimo de presión. Y desde entonces ya nunca se ha vuelto a mover 👍 y todo ha mejorado para bien, ya que ahora no siento cansancio ni incomodidad en el pie, me siento cómoda al presionar el pedal con un mínimo toque!

Your fix works great. The spring is very stiff and not really sure if it moved, but it did remove the noise from the sustain pedal. Thanks for the video!
