Thank you so much I live in quite a hot and rainy part of Australia in Queensland So it does take a beating, what with cyclones and heavy rain, mine has been up quit a while,as to how long it lasts I think 5 years is a good guess. It is not squishy it is quite hard. Most importantly you must PAINT it thoroughly because any of the foam that is exposed will crumble and turn orange. Please remember when you are making it you MUST use DAMP sand or you will not get a nice effect Hope this helps and good luck it is such fun to make Thank you for watching 🥰

Thank you for watching So sorry to hear that The only thing I can think of is that the chain is not attached to the cog properly or the battery is a bit flat The chain should not be to loose but also not to tight only about half a centimetre give .I hope that helped 😊

Fantastic, so glad I could help. 😊 Just be aware the newer plastic bottles are a more inferior quality than before and tend to melt and warp out of shape in the strong sun.That is what happened to my newest project, it still looks good but it’s not as waterproof as the original one because of the warping. Hi Thank you for watching . It all depends on how big you want your feathers On average it takes 1 meter to 1.5 meters for the larger ones. The balls of yarn that I bought came in rolls of 100 meters so I bought 3 balls in case I ran out but only ended up using 2 and the yarn was 8 ply so quiet a nice thick but soft yarn Hope that helped you out 😊

Hi Thank you for watching Most paints are water resistant when they are dry, so the water just runs off or sits in puddles that you can wipe dry. If you want it water proof you have to seal it Most times to give it a nice shine I used Diamond coat water based paving and concrete sealer by Crommelin but I also find Brillence liquid floor polish does a fantastic job as well Hope this helped you out 😊

Thankyou yes that helps a lot, I created a large surround to go around the base of a indoor waterfall so there are 1 or 2 splashes from time to time & i didnt want paint leeching into the water. @@brittsbitsandpieces2167

@@Distortion-Bristol-UK Wow!That sounds absolutely beautiful I think if you seal it it will last a long time I have murals in my garden that I painted 20 years ago and they are still the same a little bit faded by the sun but still good My newest project I decided to paint a coral reef 🐠 🪸 in my swimming pool hopefully the paint will last in there a bit concerned with the chemicals that go in the pool But it has been sealed so I will see how it goes I wish you the best of luck with your beautiful waterfall feature 🥰

Hi Thank you for your comment All my poles are connected with bolts As you might notice the vertical pole at the back is connected using two bolts The top one goes through the wood and is attached with a nut on the inside The bottom pole is attached to the vertical pole also using a bolt As you move to the front of the feeder The top pole is attached directly to the lid I just used screws for that Drill through the pole lining it up with the lid and screw thigh You need to put spacers on the bottom pole so it does not rub against the wood The foot plate I used two pieces of wood but you could also use one piece So the bottom pole I drilled four holes into that two hole for each piece of and them just screwed those in I hope this helps you out Thank you so much for watching Really appreciate it 😊👍

Oh dear! sorry to hear that At first I thought mine was too short until I adjusted the tension screw, then it fitted After assembly tightened the screw again and it should be good to go .Hope that helps and works for you 😊

Yes I tried the tension. I couldn’t get it to click onto that small nut. I have had my son in law have a go and he is certain the chain is too short. Never mind, alls good and I’ll buy one here, thank you for your input 😊

Hi Thank you for watching It is still looking as good as it did when I first put it up But please be aware I put this one up 5 years ago when the plastic bottles were still good quality and quite thick Since then the soft drink companies are using a softer and more inferior quantity bottle ,so the other ones I have made are not so good,as the bottles have melted and warped but still work quite well They don’t look as good and in some places are not waterproof but I just added extra bottles underneath to stop them leaking Still a great way to make cheap roofing and recycle plastic They are also great for privacy screens Make them the same way and hang them up Hope that helps you out 😉

Hi Thank you for watching .If you put it on polystyrene as the backing it will be strong enough and look amazing. Don’t forget to use damp sand as it gives it make the foam look more like coral like the one in my video. It works extremely well on wood as well small tip don’t try doing it up right must be flat on the floor.
