One of the most useless martial arts in the world. You don't see anyone winning the UFC or any MMA fight just using taekwondo
But, having a background in TaeKwon-Do absolutely helps in the same way that a background in western boxing helps, or Muay Thai, or BJJ... Bas Rutten and Anderson Silva BOTH hold black belts in TaeKwon-Do and they dominated MMA. Your comment is foolish. You literally said that ONE single martial art being used in MMA is useless... MMA. as in MIXED martial arts. As in a BLEND of multiple disciplines. That's like saying Boxing is useless because you don't see anyone winning MMA fights just using boxing. Maybe you should sit out the next couple plays there "champ".

I went to several of gen chois seminars i the 80s and 90s they we all useless focussing on his nonsense sine wave.I sincerely believe the man had no idea about real combat.

TKD ITF IS NOT ABOUT THE REAL COMBAT , LEG IN MY OPINION NOT EXTREME POWER LIKE YOU SEE IN MUAI-THAY , HAND , YOU CAN NOT KILL PEOPLE ON THE STREET WITH KNIFE HAND , PUNCHING VERY WEAK . Все мне нравится в технике Тэквон-додошел до4-дана,бял свой клуб,но не нравится сдача экзаменов,просто формалиность,заплати деньги и все.(сегодня Тэквон-до это просто спорт и комерция,гимнастика,я не говорю про VTF это не "боевое "искуство"какой то дибелизм.но зато "олимпийский вид который никому не интересен,и на улице бесполезен.

NDE (near death experience) All the men in my family have had some kind of life and death situation where they shouldn't be alive but still are. My dad fell off very top of damn in Louisiana, during construction land with rebar sticking through pants got up and got fired. Have heard eye witness accounts off what happened they say the same thing. Grandfather who caved in top of old station wagon with head during roll over. Was in coma got out and taught himself how to read and write again . Hand used for writing changed. Cousins who get caught up by river barge wake while in a Kayak and drowned when no one is around and somehow ended up making it back to bank. I was poisoned by others and it passed through my system in one moment everything is horrible and cried out to Jesus (scared and terrified) and instantly was healed.Thier are more of these stories in my family. The common denominators is family bloodline and the Fact that we all cried out to Jesus FERVENTLY. The experience for each man in family started a chain reaction of sorts within each person. Ie...all of sudden was in better health a quickening of sort happens shortly after. Just sharing our experiences.

Jkd is a very small participation compared to the millions doing Taekwondo ,theres no way you haven't heard of it,its an Olympic sport also.
