@@1subaru555 can i ask what navigation you used on your phone for the trail plz and was it accurate in taking you the right way?
@@greenlaneduo I used the ‘Outdoor Active’ app. I did make a couple of wrong turns as sometimes it can be difficult to make out. Otherwise it got me where I needed to be, and I’ll certainly be using it next time. 👍🏻

Cheers mate, we were both on Cannondale Topstone carbon gravel bikes. Yeah the routes were mostly scenic, especially Lake District but man its hard going around there🤣💪🏻👍🏻

Great video - I am in a similar boat, talked about it for years and I ain’t getting any younger so 2024 is the year! Any tips??
Ooh I’m excited for you mate!! The biggest tip I can give is don’t commit to going through a puddle until it’s clear of riders in front, as it’s so easy to get stuck, the same with going up the dunes…. Wait until you get a clear shot up to the top. Other than that, ride your own race nice and chilled, and keep the momentum going so you don’t bog in the sand. I did it this year as well and fitted a rad fan, the bike didn’t overheat once, unlike the first time. I’ll probably end up doing it in 2024 although I’m telling myself no😂

Thanks for the tips - makes a lot of sense and watched a few vids from this year to try and pick up some pointers and I see people going for the dunes with people stopped halfway up 🤷♂️🤦♂️ Maybe see you on the lawns then 😉
