SteelFiber FC Shafts

No shaft is one-size-fits-all. The new SteelFiber FC ‘Flight Control’ graphite iron shafts combine the composite technology of SteelFiber with variable tip stiffness for players who need higher trajectories.

The Number 1 graphite iron golf shaft on the pro tours. With more pro tour wins than any other graphite iron shaft in history, SteelFiber golf shafts by Aerotech Golf are a true game-changer.
Do these create a better or different ball flight? I didn’t hear him say one thing about performance of the shaft. It sound s like it’s really well made and will not break but what does it do out on the course? I have a set of these on a PXG 0311’s and haven’t spent enough time to compare them.
If I use i80 regular in my p790 irons, what shaft should I use in my Vokey 54 and 58 wedges?
Do any PGA Tour pros use them, that's the benchmark.
These are great if you want to run 100m down the fairway chasing the head. Worst shaft ever
How the head of the club is epoxied onto the shaft isn’t Aerotechs fault. Did you chunk it majorly and broke it? Golf shafts can break if you have difficulty hitting the ball and instead hit the ground.
Yeah, that's an indictment on your Club builder. Not the shaft itself
Don’t mess these up True Temper
I have some they feel amazing
Is the steelfiber FC75 hy a stiff or regular shaft?
I need HELP!!!!! If I am playing the Project X LZ 6.5 and want to play Graphite. What SteelFiber plays similar to my current shaft? Please HELP ME!!!!!! Thanks
6.5 is extra stiff. I would recommend the i95 or i110 in stiff or x stiff, be aware that these do play a little stiffer than norm
I was excited to hit these. Today, I tested the 110 vs my Project X LZ 6.5 125g shafts with my same Mizuno head. The steel fiber felt good and stable but the numbers were identical. I did not swing it faster, I thought I would, than my own shaft. Carry and total Distance, height, launch and dispersion we EXACTLY the same. Spin was within 100rpm. I did like the feel, but after seeing the numbers I am not going to switch.
What flex did you hit the 110? I have the same problem. I need HELP!!!!! If I am playing the Project X LZ 6.5 and want to play SteelFiber 125 X
Awesome shafts
Tell me you you get bag rub as most graphite as prone too? Or does the steel protect the shaft
These will be more durable than graphite
Have played the i95 for 3 years, found it to light in the wedge so switched out to the i110. Playing new irons, Mizuno921 forged with the Nippon Neo in, now wondering about switching these out to the i95s
I just bought the 921 Forged irons. Have the NS Pro 950GH HT shafts in SR flex. I hear the Neo is much like the HT, designed for higher flight. But I’m not getting the same higher flight as I did with my Speedblades. And I bought a JPX919 LW with a R-flex i95 shaft and really like it. I’m thinking about putting the R-flex i95 in my GW and SW and putting the FC90 in my irons. Might hard step-them once since I was fit for SR in the Nippon shafts.
Aerotech i95 irons are by the most superior irons I have used. I have one set of Aerotech irons on my Mizuno and one set of project X 5.5 shafts on another set of Mizuno irons. The project x shafts have a propensity to break under load so far I have broken 3 project x shafts but I have NEVER broken and Aerotech shaft. Love your product! I just re-shafted my Mizuno MPH4 4 irons with Aerotech i95 shaft. Cost me $75 for the shaft but well spent
Just got these in PXG irons by far the best shafts I’ve ever played with
What is the stiffness of F4 in the fc90 shaft that Callaway uses for their expensive Epic Forged irons? Is it equal to dynamic gold s300?
I thinking on switching to graphite and the local club maker recommended Aerotech i95 in stiff. I currently play $-Taper 120 stiff. My goal is to lower the total weight of the club to get a smoother swing tempo and stop swinging hard at the ball. Today I feel that I have to swing hard at the ball and that makes it harder to control the shots.
did you switch? if so what did you think of the Aerotech i95?
This is amazing shaft. I just changed to steelfiber 70 and it is new world
I'm thinking of doing the same my irons. Do they play soft to flex? I'm wanting to go lighter in my irons, pick up some clubbed speed and launch.
I feel the I95 is the best iron shaft hands down. I spent 13 years playing professional golf and the consistency of the I95 is special. It is a few yards longer then a steel shaft and has such a nice feel. It is a shaft that hits the ball the same distance almost every time. Do your self a favour and buy this shaft. Aerotech isn't paying me to say this but I wish they were. I have used this shaft for years and will continue to use it. I have found the R flex is almost like a soft stiff and unless you are a big hitter, stick to the R
what defines a big hitter? I have a 92 mph 6 iron swing speed with a KBS tour S. Would you say this is an R or an S flex for the i95's?
i played them once and instantly was sold , every shot went straight i couldnt hit a bad shot !!!
This is a great review. I might be trading in my Titleist T300’s for these standard Mavrik irons. I hit Callaway irons longer than other brands (I’m a 54-year old 10 HC with very average distance). My current Titleist irons have Oban CT-115 R+ steel shafts. Can you tell me which Callaway stock or custom buy-up shaft is most like that? I tried graphite iron shafts w the Titleist and it was a playing disaster (actually the shaft was the Mitsubishi Tensei AV Red AM2 (Regular)). It felt completely different and way too light to me with zero feel and I went back to Oban. Just looking for any suggestion as i like the idea of moving to graphite but it has to be similar in feel to Oban. If you could recommend a comparable steel and a graphite shaft, that would be great. Also recommend one of yours. Thank you.
Have them (i95 R-Flex) in my Mizuno HMB. Phenomenal!!!
My kind of golfer
@@jessiedaniel2527 Purchased the King 3 & 4 Utility Irons direct from Cobra because they had the same shaft as an optional upgrade. 😍
Do you see a higher ball flight in your irons with these shafts?
@@joegarza1835 Higher than the Project X LZ that originally were in them, before returning that iron set. Head certainly feels heavier since the shaft is not the normal 110-120 (or more?) grams you would see in this sort of iron. Didn't take long to get used to them, and the LZs felt terrible.
@@joeperez3520 I’ve been doing some digging around and Steelfiber makes a different model called the FC which has a slightly softer tip for higher ball flights. Right now I’m looking for a “demo fit” Mizuno 919 Hot Metal Pro head, adapter fitting, and a single 7 iron length Steelfiber FC shaft. Also for the grip I want to use Jumbomax medium size, either the light or heavy version. I’d rather build a single club than experiment on a club in my set. Very interested in this shaft. Wish me luck. Lol.
Should that graph be opposite? The FC should’ve been the yellow line ball flight?
The FC is Higher launch while IC is mid launch. The graph is fine, it's just the 2 trackmans that are inversed; the FC should have been the highest since its top is softer, hence creating more whip, easier launch and higher ball flight.
Just order FC90 for my 4-pw
@@philipperogers6727 You are trying to say the same thing as Adam, just in an inaccurate manner. The graph isn’t ‘fine’ because in reality it is the exact opposite.
Both shafts in the PW flight the same, then going down to 7i and 4i the flights change. The FC by design 'should' flight higher than the i-series, but it's always player dependant of course.
From KBS Tour 130 X what SteelFiber shaft would you recommend?
This is a super shaft!!
