This was built from Nov 2017 to Feb 2018. The videos were in my camera SD card and I had not uploaded it yet. Apologies.

One of the best concerts I have been to in a long long time. If you ever get a chance to see these guys, I highly recommend them. Here is just a sampling from last night's show. Enjoy!

I'm building a re-release of the same kit. It came pre-chromed. So that makes things a lot easier. I also discovered a company has now released chrome paint pens that look like real chrome. After sanding the gaps in the skull, so that it was perfectly smooth, I went over those parts with the chrome pen and it blends in perfectly! If only those pens existed years ago, when I was building car model kits that had lots of chrome on them.
Well done mate.
I got one of their final limited run kits.
I had mine for a couple of yrs, but i cant build it cause its too damn big
Horizon had some great kits!
Looks like Mother/Norman has a nice rake.
im 9 years late got this set at a yard sale super excited to do but.....NO instructions!! any idea where i can get a pdf copy of them?
Ill have to check if I still have the instructions. Doubt it though. But Im sure if you look online youll find them
@@dlcmodelbuilders9300 I've been looking with no luck. Normally they are super easy for me to find.
Checked, and Im afraid I didnt keep a copy of the instructions. Soon after I built this I started scanning the instructions of my models so I’d have a folder in my computer with them, but never did this one. My suggestion would be maybe procuring another one of these kits in the hope that it has instructions? I know thats an additional expense, but not sure what else you could do.
Good job....thank you.
the dome is translucent but good work
Did you never post the part 12?
A onde posso comprar esse kit ?
Did you fill the legs with anything? I always do this to vinyl kits as it seems to stop joints popping open and gives the kit a better chance of not warping! I always make a scratch built base or diorama too! Love the Hulk by the way. 👍🏻
Nailed the painting scheme, good job! I think I gonna orient myself on what you did, found a nice resin model of the dog alien on Aliexpress
Turned out awesome! What did you use for a primer? Once you chromed it, how did you achieve the crevices to still look black?
Man, fantastic work. Congrats.
I know this was 7 years ago but I'm just doing this now with a 30yo amt kit, I hate the drilling out of the windows.
What scale is it?
1:1400
Very nice. 1 question what was the stuff called to harden the cotton? Sounded like you said Testers Delco? Thanks.
Looks good.
Jeez he's so shiny! Should've used a matte clearcoat. Other than that he looks "Amazing" 👍
ed hicks I wanted it glossy. I liked the way it looked. When you build it, you use a matte clear coat.
My absolute favorite ship from the ST universe. You have done an excellent job lighting this.
very nice build mate but please tell me you don't use florists foam anymore, that stuff is lethal.
Not bad. Here is my effort: ruclips.net/video/Bp37-D09Ufc/видео.html
Absolutely Savage I was just looking it up too see did anyone else make one and yours turned out Savage! Fare play 💚🇮🇪
can you tell me which manufacturer this is, is it the Aoshima t800 version ? it doesn't look like the horizon or Argonauts kits
Enjoying this series! Got one of these and would like to get hold of the wing kit. Any idea where I might get one at all?:)
No idea. They've been out of production for years, and I am not really sure the person holding the molds is ever gonna get back to producing them. I did hear some other outfits might do it. Stay tuned.
Comming together nicely, great work .
Thanks 👍
This is outta the park mate Stay safe 😉👍
Coming along nicely Armando
I am watching this with a lot of interest. It is looking very, very good . Very interesting build. I can't imagine this outcome being anything but awesome.
excellent work
Lookin cool... i am still trying to get one myself.
Looking good buddy, nice job on the light blocking.
So great to see you back! Love those rebuilt disrupters. Just curious, I have a brass tube cutter, but it’s not very effective for diameters less than 1/8”. Does your K&S cutter cut smaller than 1/8”?
Great to be back Jmiles! The smallest tube is the most difficult one to cut. Its the 1/16. All I could really do was score it as deeply as I could, and then take the cutter off and basically snap it. It worked. I'll demonstrate in a later video.
DLC Model Builders that’d be great to see. I was trying to rebuild my Revell U-Wing blasters with 1.5 and 2.3mm tubing and it was hard to get a clean cut. Yours looked super clean. Nice work!
This is starting to look smart mate 😉👌
I’ll definitely refer to these when I build mine.
I have never tried it before but I know of someone who used black spray insulation ( spray on insulation tape) for light blocking. It might solve two problems for you in front. Looking very , very good so far though.
Viswanathan Pather I was able to get it with the black primer. Light blocking is always an issue. You just have to be patient and thorough.
Fan bloomin tastic 🤩👌
Looking very good Armando. I am hoping someone would do the hinge set again. I would also like to see how that brass tube cutter works. I am doing a build where I have to use brass tubing.
Viswanathan Pather thanks! I’ll demonstrate how to use the cutter soon. Stay tuned.
Good to see you back!
Those disruptors look ace mate 😉👌
Thanks Tim!
That's a nice setup for the wings. Great job on the cannon mods, big improvement!
Yea, that hinge kit is designed very well. My only concern is that it adheres to the wing. I guess we'll find out. The cannons look much better reconstructed. Gotta figure out how best to paint them. Probably some gunmetal color.
My favourite star trek ship ever, nice one mate 😉👍
Thanks Tim!
He's back! Looking forward to watching this one buddy :)
Happy to be back my friend! Enjoy.
Great to hear from you again Armando! Looking forward to seeing you build this!
Thanks Greg!
Awesome! It's been forever my Friend!
Hey Bob! It sure has. I'll get into more of a routine of uploading again.
Looking good my friend..
Thanks Chuck!
Good job Armando!
Wassssssuuuupppp!!!! Thanks Tag :)!
