Quick info for people to understand The Great Titan War was between Godzillas kind and Kongs kind, along with a few other titans who took sides like Mothra with Godzillas kind and Shimo with Kongs kind. The war ended with the great apes going subterranean in Hollow Earth after Godzilla’s kind sealed them there. Kong’s parents and several other apes managed to escape Hollow Earth and went to Skull Island to live in peace, but the Skull Crawlers attacked and another war started. Kongs mom was pregnant with him at the time. Kong’s mom and Dad were the last apes standing to fight the Skull Crawlers and they died killing a bunch of them. Kong’s mom gave birth to Kong right before she died. The last of Godzilla’s kind, including his father Dagon were killed by MUTO Prime, who are bigger than Godzilla’s kind, have a tank like outer shell, a sonic roar, could swim faster than Godzilla’s kind, and due to its 135,000 ton body, it could cause tremors with its radiated superheated spikes and scales in it claws that could cut Godzilla’s scales.

probably an unpopular opinion, but the 2014 godzilla is honestly the only really good one. only one that gave godzilla and generally the whole movi the right vibe. and godzilla x kong is honestly just complete shit. makes them feel like human sized cartoon characters

i still think the mutos had by far the greatest sound design out of not only all of the monsterverse kaiju but just any movie monster ever. I've not seen every iconic movie with a monster in it, yeah, but of the ones I HAVE seen they beat out everything else by a mile. It's just so incredibly well done.
