    I would say AT&T is a hold imo. It’s been flat for growth since 2003 so the only way you’d get a good roi is through dividends and that could take a long time to even just break even with on your investment

    What did you put as the average annual interest rate for QQQ? I'm trying to use a compound interest calculator and I'm not seeing the same numbers.

    • @HarrysFinancialFitness
      @HarrysFinancialFitness Месяц назад

      Hi there! The average annual interest rate for QQQ isn't applicable as it's an exchange-traded fund (ETF), not a savings account. Instead, you can look at its historical performance or annualized return to get a sense of how it has performed in the past. Remember, past performance is not indicative of future results. Hope this helps clarify things for you!

    Every crash/collapse brings with it an equivalent market chance if you are early informed and equipped, I've seen folks amass up to $1m amid economy crisis, and even pull it off easily in favorable conditions. Unequivocally, the collapse is getting somebody somewhere rich.

    why would someone pick these over the s&p 500? Just curious not trying to be contrarian

    • @justycekh832
      @justycekh832 Месяц назад

      Diversification. S&P 500 fund tends to have all its money in valuation and expected growth. SCHD and VIG combine dividends and growth but target different indexes. Idea behind dividend funds is to use compounded dividends to increase shareholder stake.

    • @HarrysFinancialFitness
      @HarrysFinancialFitness Месяц назад

      Hey there! Great question. Choosing between SCHD and VIG over the S&P 500 really depends on your investment goals and risk tolerance. Both SCHD and VIG focus on dividend growth, which can offer potential long-term benefits. Feel free to do some more research to see which option aligns best with your financial objectives. Happy investing!

    • @ahkeem0
      @ahkeem0 Месяц назад

      Because of the greater dividend income s&p 500 dividend is on the lower side and the dividend growth is also slower

      Great question and was wondering the same thing. I just now getting into investing and wondering should I invest all my income into schd to one day have 100k, or just put everything into VOO.. if I spread my money across multiple etfs, I'll never be able to accumulate 100k just into one.

    • @MannySimoneCards

      @HarrysFinancialFitness so if I have 30 years to invest, I should focus more on growth Dividend etfs than sp500 like VOO?

      I owned QQQ. Great but also more volatile. I would recommend when younger. But at 42 aiming to retire or be financially free by 46, I can’t handle the volatility. Would I buy some at the next market dip? Yeah, probably scoop some. QQQ did make me some money in the past. However after the last downturn I realized that I didn’t need as much risk.
